Swap it with the KH-29TD TV+IIR and can be operated up to 40km and it has been proven in combat in the current ukraine war. Both SU-34 and Su-30 are able to carry this Air to Ground Missle.
TD is the domestic designation for the extended range TV guided KH-29.
Then drop the grau index for the seeker. TD and D get confused often and aside from that in my and others search for related info during the main KH-38 thread it seems the D was never pursued. Even your second source from as much as i can see says there have only been reports of the Ds IR seeker.
Combined with the large amounts of bug reports on the TD being IR being labeled not a bug im going to assume if it was IR by now someone would have a decent source to prove gaijin wrong.
Wait there is TD in WT already???
Yes as I said its the domestic designation for the extended range TV kh-29 with TE being the export designation.
Ok so i did some research, I am very sure that gaijin made it wrong.
Or your info is bad.
nob i just can’t find a info about the KH-29TD as an export version of the KH-29T
Kh-29TD is the domestic designation for the KH-29TE which is the export model. To my knowledge KH-29T doesn’t have an export designation.
ok so I ask the AI as chatgpt is not working.
The Kh-29T, Kh-29TD, and Kh-29TE are not exactly the same; each has distinct features:
- Kh-29T: The baseline TV-guided air-to-surface missile with a range of about 10-12 km (some sources claim up to 30 km under optimal conditions). It uses a television guidance system for daytime operations and has a 320 kg warhead.
- Kh-29TD: A modernized variant of the Kh-29T, featuring dual-mode guidance (TV and infrared/thermal, IR). The IR capability enables night operations and all-weather use. It has an extended range of up to 40 km and improved electronics. The “D” likely indicates the added thermal guidance, not an export designation.
- Kh-29TE: The primary export version of the Kh-29T, designed for international customers. It retains the TV guidance system but includes enhanced electronics, improved target recognition, and a range of up to 30 km. It’s compatible with aircraft like the Su-30MK and has been exported to countries like India and China.
Clarification:
- The Kh-29T and Kh-29TD are not the same: The Kh-29TD is an upgraded version with dual TV/IR guidance and a longer range.
- The Kh-29T and Kh-29TE are not the same: The Kh-29TE is an export-optimized version of the Kh-29T with improved electronics and a longer range but retains TV-only guidance.
- The Kh-29TD and Kh-29TE are also different: The Kh-29TD has dual-mode guidance (TV+IR), while the Kh-29TE is TV-guided and tailored for export.
In short, the Kh-29TE is the export version of the Kh-29T, while the Kh-29TD is a distinct, advanced variant with dual-mode guidance, not specifically for export.
Ok so you cant do it yourself so you asked the thing notorious for making shit up to do it for you. well played. As I said earlier grau index for the seeker or it doesn’t exist, even the KH-38MTs seeker has a grau index number (9-B-7738 iirc).
You can ask it to not make up shit but it will regardless as thats what its designed to do, fill in gaps where it doesn’t have data. Since you dont have a primary or even a secondary source to back up your claims (the ones you posted earlier talk of reports about a D not TD model at best) and are resorting to AI as some kind of last ditch attempt it kinda shows you have nothing, not even a grau index number for the seeker which we have for the widely believed to be fictional KH-38MTs seeker. Burden of proof is on you to back up your claim and AI especially un-sourced is not even close to solid enough.
bruh go ask grok tell him to get as many source as possible some sources are in russian and some are blocked and some are taken down…so i think you shall do it.
If that’s enough then I don’t see the issue
You are the one making claims here. You have yet to provide a source yourself that would be accepted by gaijin to back up your claims. Many have come before you saying the same thing both on the forums and on the Bug report tool. No one has provided a primary or secondary source saying the TD is anything more than an extended range T heck even the russian wikipedia page doesn’t mention an IR version and thats the lowest bar for entry on plausibility. So as I said grau index number for the seeker or jog on.
show me the source so i can tell grok to fix it
Calm down, flat earther.
