I don’t think you watched the video… Mavericks need a clear lock, unlike Kh-38’s where you can just lob them mark a spot on the map (someone can squadron marker for u) and boom orbital strikes with kh38’s without actively part taking in the battle from the stratosphere
You should actually watch the video and understand the limitations.
Grom 2 is superior to Kh-38s in GNSS mode.
And Mavericks are superior to GNSS weapons because they track moving targets.
People have been able to do “orbital strikes” with GPS guided munitions since they were introduced, I know this because I did them.
GPS just doesn’t track targets.
The only aircraft so far that have a chance of not dying to new SPAA systems are Rafale and F-15E due to TWR and can get to like 17,000 meters altitude without being supersonic, and it very much is a chance.
