Howdy sim enjoyers! John war here. I have taken a liking to playing sim when the ground bracket is around 11.0-12.7 however I have noticed a glaring problem.
Personally, I play sim for the huge maps it gets… however those are rare and Most of the maps are CQC, Modern tanks aren’t designed for close quarter FPS style combat (aside from ratty autocannon tanks like the RDF/LT and HSTVL, 2S38 which are absolutely busted in said maps.), and I find that most of my good matches are on long range maps. For sim, I believe that there should be an option to choose small or large maps. Either that or outright removing CQC maps.
[I apologize for not making a more detailed post however this is all that could come to mind]

honestly its a double edged sword.
I find that my teams last longer in city maps as they arent immediately obliterated the second the game starts from cas, but games usually dont last long compared to long range maps because the gameplay sucks.
Not to mention spaa are more useful in city maps as they have the terrain and such to hide and pressure cas, compared to being in a completely open space

I agree. I’m tired of having to fight at a distance of one meter against tanks that should be able to engage at an average of 2 km.
There’s no excuse that it takes too long to reach the battlefield, given that they have an average speed of 70 km/h.
And this speech is also valid for the RB
+1, I have had exactly one cool moment with cqc maps in sim battles, and that was when I drove through a destructible building to flank an enemy which I knew was watching the “only” exit I could attack them from.
Aside from that, cqc maps are a pain to deal with because they require something I don’t have, reaction time.
On the other hand, large maps like paradesh and big fulda (which I personally like) tend to make it hard to push up and find targets when you don’t have thermals. But I still like the big map gameplay (especially big fulda)
They should be removed from ALL toptier, not just sim.

Big maps are the ones where team gameplay shine, because one person rarely can control a whole 15km2 zone.
