never overestimate gaijin’s decision, some of them are just, typically silly, and no “bussiness rational”
We Chinese have a saying, “covering one’s ears while stealing a bell,” and I think this phrase perfectly describes Gaijin’s new flag system because it is utterly meaningless. Chinese forums often mock how players can even replace the Stars and Stripes with the Iranian flag or swap the Soviet flag with the Russian imperial flag. We never stopped Thailand and Japan from being together, nor did we oppose providing the VT4 tank for the Thai tech tree. The only thing we object to is Gaijin’s repeated attempts to confuse concepts by trying to add a vehicle that has nothing to do with Japan into that abstract faction everyone knows is meant to represent Japan—just like with the Su-30MKM.

In reality I doubt the VT-4 was even coming for Tusk Force in the first place. Sure it was leaked, but so was Object 640, so was VN-1C, etc. etc.
Looking through the namemap, the only mention of the Thai VT-4 that I could find was skins.
Thats it. Unless I missed something, the Thai VT-4 was nowhere near implementation.

well since when is the f35 ingame(dont bring the danish draken). I just think its not the worst decission to test it this way with how broken the kh38 actually is. ( there was alot of drama about the recent ussr winrates and so on…)

So, were all those who opposed it at the time foreign anti-China elements (even if it was just a rumor that they were going to join)?
At the same time, they most often say that this is just a game, and why should you care so much about politics?

It was found in a datamined a while back but the Russian players threw a fit because it was captured and then gifted to the us as apposed to exported
Please show me what indian vehicles have something in common or to do with Great Britain.
Or Belgian F16s for France. Or Swiss Mirage, F5E or Hornets for Germany. Hell germany even has a swiss hunter as a squadron vehicle that is better than the british hunters and neither has anything to do with german airforce.
Subtree vehicles can range between similar/same vehicles already present in the TT (Strv 122 and fin 2A6 or Strv121 and fin 2A4) or unique vehicles not present within said TT (so many to pick, belgian or norwegian F16s, swiss hornets, pakistani hinds, Oplot, Jeff17, etc.)
this is very wrong, given that the Thai TT is part of the Japanese TT by proximity the chinese community HAS opposed that. Thailand doesnt have enough vehicles (modelled or irl) to warrant their addition as standalone nation. (Examples like Italy and Israel started as parts of previously existing TT, germany and USA respectively)
we all know what you object to, its kinda hard not to notice when you get very vocal about it every time something happens. The only thing i agree with the chinese community on is that the representation of some chinese vehicles is less than stellar and theres plenty of bug reports on that, what i dont agree with however is this inherent need to gatekeep their or other nations export vehicles to be added to the game, if it means it will be within tech tree of the big boogieman Japan. Its just childish
Also just for the record, i dont really care if china has M1A2T in it. Its not going to really change much one way or another and Taiwan/China use it so meh.

i remember J10C has its texture for a verrrrrry long time but not added until now
I think considering Gaijin’s long-term deliberate nerfs to Chinese vehicles, the players’ emotions at that time were understandable. It’s true that there were quite a few so-called external forces mixed into the discussions back then, provoking Chinese players on platforms like YouTube or elsewhere. Most players are young, after all, and anyone can occasionally say something excessive in the heat of the moment, right?

there were quite a few chinese bringing constantly politics into this and switched to emotions when they ran out of argument since you couldnt argue against them without breaking clear tos(their emotional argumentation probably did also break tos).
Noone would be rlly pissed at some for delaying the vt4 for an unfitting timepoint(2nd september, was false info but still no big deal).
So it was a clear not from the loud chinese community on the vt4 threads.

Yeah, the VT-4 in the China tech tree is a different model from the one in Thai service.
one in the game, the more recent demonstration model
They could just use this early VT-4 from the arms expo and call it a day, so they wouldn’t need to make a separate one for Thailand. But if Gaijin simply copy-pastes the current in-game model into the Thai tech tree, that would be lazy, because the Thai version is the mass-produced one.

It is not that I am overly concerned with politics. Every form of publication, be it films, newspapers, or games, serves a propaganda function. Players, while engaging with a game, subconsciously absorb the ideologies embedded within. If a game were to contain content that is unfavorable to you, I imagine you would not remain silent about it.

you have to see if its unbalanced and then we can see what would be the smartest move to make it playable.
Yea many Chinese players don’t like go on the forums and go in tieba instead. But even on tieba most people don’t completely oppose the addition of the Vt4
