Oke, thanks for forwarding that to the devs, lets hope something will be done in the future about it.
So you’ve known for a long time that the premium version was an F16AM
So basically, the community’s opinion wasn’t even taken into account in the reflection of a French premium idea
it’s sad
I’m kidding, don’t take it personally.
It very much was, these were the first options to be explored too. However, as already mentioned:
Whereas the F-16 fits the ideal BR range for Rank VIII premiums without being too low or high and is an all round excellent multirole aircraft in both ground and air modes.
It’s still a big mistake, but the answer is acceptable.
I’m still going to demolish the F16AM stats to see what happens :>
The skins could just be GE skins for the TT ones though? It’s the exact same plane as the TT one, unlike where we have premium versions of TT tanks with unique model details.
Sticking more Belgian F-16AM skins behind an initial 80 dollar paywall as well just makes the whole decision seem worse.
The TT variant already has skin options.
Naturally any new premium jet also comes with skin options too, hence why some additional ones were planned. This was not an “intentional decision” to paywall skins. Simply provide the selected premium option with some additional skins. As is the case mostly for all premium jets.
We should have got a new Rafale instead of yet another copy and paste F-16 not even used by France
There wouldn’t be any point besides maybe a GMTI mode and belly AASM among other things, but they’re probably saving it for December patch alongside F-15EX and Su-35S it seems.
I still think the best option would be to use the Norwegian F-16, add a Dutch skin, and make that the premium. Then later Gaijin could expand it with extra skins and move all the current premium content from the Belgian F-16 into the tech tree Belgian F-16. That way it’s a win-win: the Netherlands finally gets a post-1979 aircraft, and Belgians gets more camo options for their F-16AM.
A premium Belgian F-16AM could have worked, but gaijin kind of messed up giving the F-16A Block 15 things like PIDS and JDAM.
“F-16A” is modelled as the very earliest Belgian F-16s as they were delivered in the 1980s - where Belgium’s F-16s had RAPPORT-III ECM antennas
The Squadron F-16A OCU is correctly modelled as a later F-16A, with the RAPPORT antennas removed as they were in the early 90s from older blocks of F-16, while the OCUs were simply built without them. But none the less OCU has “older”, more limited loadouts than the tree F-16A.
Belgium didn’t actually order JDAM until 2004, so such bombs are solidly post-MLU F-16AM, and shouldn’t be on the lower BR F-16As.
PIDS was introduced in the mid-1990s, well after the removal of RAPPORT equipment but still a couple of years before the MLU. Being pedantic it shouldn’t be on the TT F-16A because of the way that plane is modelled, but it wasn’t an upgrade exclusive to the F-16AM.
However, the premium F-16AM would slot in beautifully if this was the place where PIDS, and LANTIRN with Paveway, JDAM etc. was added to give more countermeasures and PGM capabilities - an F-16AM (early) as it were
Then following on from that we have the TT F-16AM which, could be different from the premium if PIDS+ was exclusive to this version, and it had Sniper pod as an upgrade over LANTIRN.
Maybe also FZ275 Laser Guided Rockets which are a new addition to Belgium’s F-16s.
Thereby distinguishing it as F-16AM (late)
Even something as simple as it being an F-16B instead of an F-16A would make it vastly more interesting. The US player’s response to the F/A-18F being limited to the British tree via Australia should have informed Gaijin that people yearn for twin seaters when it comes to copy-paste alternatives to TT vehicles.
Gaijin’s handling of the French tree has always been poor but ever since the BeNeLux tree has been added it’s been a total disgrace, and this is just more of the same.
I know you’re just the messenger so please don’t take what about to say personally, but this is a bit absurd.
The Mirage 2000C is rank VIII vehicle, making it viable for grinding tier IX, and the Indian Mirage 2000H/TH (based on the Mirage 2000C so no MICAs) have the added abilities of carrying the Atlis and Litening LDP as well as laser guided bombs like the BGLs and Paveways thus making it an okay multirole.
It would’ve made a perfectly acceptable premium. Lower BR than other premiums sure, but still a rank VIII.
Indian vehicles go to UK though, so that wouldn’t be okay for Gaijin.
Hard disagree on this one, it at least fills the lack of top tier premium so unique vehicles are safer
The US got the Australian Abrams despite being part of the UK tree, I don’t see why they couldn’t do the same here.
Just give one nation the single seater variant and the other the twin seater.
why?? copy paste are the best premiums because they don’t hide unique vehicles behind paywalls
why is it at 13.7 while the su30mkm and mkk are at 13.3…is it fair for a new player to face su30sm2 , rafales ef2ks
just saying that they would like wanna play some lower tiers first to learn how to play and then they should buy top tier jets (and yea the su30 should be 13.7)
you see top tier jets in most warthunder ads same as tank…you wanna play those…download game…seee some old tanks and props you dont wanna play…see you can buy jet to get other jet…buy jet and tank you wanna play…
No, copy paste activelly prevent french vehicles coming into the game despite what is said, as it is totally differnt of what Gaijin does.
