I’m not sure about that at this point. With enough copy-paste premiums, a player can find a vehicle they like in a TT and get a prem version for far better economics and the bonuses that come with prems… Or the opposite, someone can buy a prem and like it so much they decide to grind out the TT version for another free spawn of it.
Atp, they should just rework the talismans system. That should’ve been the main monetization system from the start if you ask me. It spares us from having all the cool stuff locked behind a paywall since every free TT vehicles could still be monetizable. Copy+paste premiums could just be purchasable skins then.

I also find it a bit weird that they went with another Belgian F-16AM when there’s already one in the tech tree. That said, I’d still rather see a copy-paste premium than a unique French aircraft locked behind a paywall.
In my opinion, premium vehicles should ideally be C&P or export variants, while indigenous and unique vehicles belong in the tech tree where everyone can access them through gameplay. A premium F-16AM might be uninspired, but at least it doesn’t create FOMO around a one-of-a-kind French aircraft that many players would feel forced to buy.
If Gaijin wanted an F-16 premium, a Dutch one would probably have made more sense for variety, but I’d still take a copy-paste premium over losing a unique Mirage or Rafale variant to the premium section. Now if only they would add such a plane…

True, Gaijin tells us that Benelux doesn’t prevent France from getting new French designs, but in the meantime, the last French designs were 3 updates ago for tanks and 2 updates ago for aircrafts.

They only concern I have with this one is that it seems very similar to the top F16 in the tech tree and therefore, you would be buying a plane to research the same one you could have unlocked for free.

We wanted to add a solid, all round useful and practical multirole aircraft as a premium vehicle here, which the F-16AM is an ideal candidate for both in terms of air and ground battles. Being at an ideal BR for a premium aircraft.
With that in mind, we appreciate your feedback and don’t rule out the possibility of a second premium, perhaps of domestic nature, being a possible consideration in the longer term future too.

Has there been any consideration given to adding it as a Dutch F-16? they practically fill the same role and Belgium already has this exact model in the techtree, while the Netherlands feels left behind in terms of modern aircraft. At the moment, their top tier is an single event F-16 from the 1970’s, their highest premium sits at around 10.7, and their highest techtree aircraft is around 9.3 and dates back to the 1950s.

The model needed for the Dutch one is already present for the Norwegian one - correct reinforcement plates and everything.
If persisting with the exact same Belgian model for the F-16AM, at least give the TT one its long overdue Sniper pod to replace LANTIRN or something to make it different.

I agree, but since Gaijin made the Jean Bart a premium, they could have included a Mirage, a Rafale, or another premium aircraft as well.

So how does this aircraft justify a Battle Rating (BR) of 13.7?
No, because in terms of air-to-air, air-to-ground, and other aspects, it’s still just not as good as the two premium Su-30s with a BR of 13.3 xD
And for an aircraft suitable for everyone, there are tons of variants of the Mirage 2000, Mirage F1, and many others that are more interesting than this F-16AM
Another thing rushed out by Gaijin only to be removed in two updates because of poor sales
Not to mention the Nealainder who have been left out since the beginning of the tree xD
We already have an Mirage F.1 premium. Which was factored in. Regarding the Mirage 2000, the options of those currently with MICA are too high compared to the current premiums and those without too low. So sadly, they don’t meet the ideal BR ranges.

I understand, but it’s not our fault if our only missile, already nerfed in range, is just too effective in the game right now.
Especially since, well, two MICA missiles on a modernized Mirage F1 or Mirage 2000D isn’t a big deal.

Understandable but why is the F16 13.7 at the moment and the SUs with almost if not double the missile count at 13.3 ?
The BR of the premium is based on the existing F-16AM for Belgium. Which has an above the general average effectiveness on its current BR.

Because the plane isn’t OP (Fake new) enough according to the developers, and they’re afraid of a drop in sales. That’s what was said during the last BR update.
I dont agree that they are in different BRs since one eventhough is superior to the other in terms of flight, the other has 10 missiles and pretty good ones. But thanks for the answer, have a good day Smin.
