In the development stream that is currently ongoing in its english version its has been revealed that France is to get the Belgian F16AM as a premium of Rank VII. And i think a lot of France players would agree that the premium copy paste slop needs to stop at a moment. Gaijin previously told us that they had made fine research and choice refining to select a viable premium of Rank VII for France so why another F16 that has been probably chosed in minutes? There is a veriety of options that could have been added as Rank VII premium in France from export Variant of Mirage 2000(EG, EQ…) to domestic evolution prototypes and even the very early Rafale M LF1.
Here is a list of 3 very viable options that could have been added as premium instead and that have suggestions up already :
I call to the maximum of France players and anti copy paste players to support this thread to make the F16AM replaced by something else at best or even removed from the French premium tree if necessary. France been asking form a domestic Rank VII premium not a copy paste, some even said it in the past “Better no premium than another copy paste one”.
The F-16AM was a terrible choice of premium by Gaijin, and of course sitting at 13.7 while the Su-30 premiums are at 13.3. We waited all this long for something that could have been added a long time ago, mind you there were still better alternatives that could have been added as well.
USA get a domestic jet as their rank 8 , Soviet/Russia same , Sweden same with the viggen , but France , one of the few countries which still has it’s own national military aircraft industry with the countries mentioned before , get a copy paste F-16 , april fools was 2 months ago Gaijin.
France had many options, the new premiums and squadron have all been without exception copypaste vehicles, it’s horrible how low they care about this tree.
My friend despite hating amx 30 and liking leo bought the amx 30 super to grind france, blatant copypaste just does not sell…
I don’t even care that it’s copy-paste to be honest. For me the real question is why they didn’t copy a French vehicle. Why must the identity of the tree be destroyed and replaced with F-16 “the tree”. Mirage 2000 has export variants galore, just pick one and give us that.
The UAE Mirage 2000-5 and Mirage MF2000 can’t fit in the regular French tree and so are valid premium options without having to resort to premium copy paste F-16s.
I agree for this, there is already enough F-16 in the French tree (4), there is clearly no need for a 5th one, why not making a Mirage 2000 premium ? French main will be happy, way more people would be interested, meaning more people buy it, and so more profit for Gaijin also, it’s a win for everyone
Because right now, i don’t see anyone interested by that F-16
I understand the sentiment, but I don’t completely agree.
As long as the main TT progression encapsulates the all the most important service versions, and whatever non-service models were needed for progression, I think its ok to set aside some remaining variants for monetization.
I still want as many vehicle in the tree as possible, but some vehicles just have enough variants that the playerbase won’t feel too cheated about not being able to freely research all of them.
Copy+paste vehicles can still be a decent alternative means of monetization, but I’m not sure they’ll be a sufficient in the long term. I feel it grows tiresome after a point. You’d still need some premiums that offer gameplay differences to create appeal.
I’m not sure about that at this point. With enough copy-paste premiums, a player can find a vehicle they like in a TT and get a prem version for far better economics and the bonuses that come with prems… Or the opposite, someone can buy a prem and like it so much they decide to grind out the TT version for another free spawn of it.
Atp, they should just rework the talismans system. That should’ve been the main monetization system from the start if you ask me. It spares us from having all the cool stuff locked behind a paywall since every free TT vehicles could still be monetizable. Copy+paste premiums could just be purchasable skins then.
