Removal of the Leopard I in favor of an upgraded & stabilized Leopard 1

Germany is currently lacking a good 8.3 (that isn’t premium) that actually has something to do there, and Leopard I is currently struggling at 8.0 while facing T58, T-62M-1, M60, ZTZ series, BTR series and other stabilizer/OP tanks.

Gaijin should exchange the Leopard I for an actually good Leopard with stabilizer, maybe for rank V or VI, without jumping from 8.0 to 9.0 straight to the A1A1.

  • Yes, Leopard I should be replaced by a stabilized variant.
  • No, Leopard I shouldn’t be replaced by any other Leopard series tank.
  • A stabilized variant should be foldered within the Leopard I.

maybe it could be a foldered one under the Leopard 1 at 8.3. idk :)

I’d drop DM23 from the A1A1, drop it to 8.3 then add the Leopard 1A3 to replace the 9.0

The Leopard 1 itself is fine, 8.0 is just a crap BR rn

would be a worse turm 3, so wouldnt be balanced below 8.7 even with how bad germany players are

i think it be fine at 8.0 but if they do it for all 8.0s

to be fair there are stablized 105 tanks at 8.0

a leo 1 with stabiliser is far better than the likes of an M60 or mk10 cent there is no contest. The only way that it could be validated is the turm 3, which is very much an OP vehicle worthy of 9.0

there is. but its a slow ww2 era MBT. not a late 1960s fast medium that the leopard 1 is. mobility is the meta much more than a stabiliser is.

yeah but the TYPE 74 and STB both are 8.3 and have LRF and stabs and are very similar to leo 1 and no one would call them op

they do 30mph max. leopard does 40mph pretty easily.

being a lighter medium of the cold war is about where that ends.

yea because they dont have leopard mobility

leo sacrifices all of its armor to have that mobility

T55 and M60 do atleast have some armor allowing them to brawl and side scrape the leos cant sidescrape so CQC suffers for them there best use is being a light tank actually funny enough basically thats the leo play style is a light tank

a LEO 1 with a STAB and no dart with no range finder would fine as a 8.3

T55 and type 59/69 armor are only good if downtier. If you fight against APDS and APFSDS armor is useless and everything pen easily.

in uptier at the tier is questionable as APDS tends to shatter on angles so if your side scraping it can work

DM13 goes through T-55A’s UFP like cheese.

yea. which is exactly what makes things like fox, M18, XM800t, BMPs and all other light vehicles meta.

Speed is king in this game

mid armour for lacking mobility vs a leopard

learn to position in time. much easier when youre there first

no ? the XM800T only thrived cause it fought targets that arent armored like LEO 1 or OF40 now it faces T64s and T72s and it cant do anything with a gun that you can find on the wiesal and luchs at 7.3

by this logic the R3T20 is OP at 6.0

both UFP and turret are ez task for it.
only advantage T-55A has over the Leopard I is stabilizer and APFSDS.

youre a fast vehicle for flanking. learn to pick fights better

go flank on attica or fire arc then flanking on some maps is impossible

Pretty easy in them as you can jump over the first crest before people set up

Ive literally nuked on white rock fortress in an M18 (and a base pershing) so i know its very very easy to do even on knife fight maps

the north side is pretty covered ngl. however its very out of the way.
