Why exchange it if can add something-something 1A3 with stab as 8.3 model?
I mean it would be great to have DIFFERENT leopard rather than another copypate slop as 1a2 for example was :/

Tbf, Gaijin could add a German Leopard 1A2, main diffrent, the german one has a stabi, we purchased them for ours were Italy said nope, we dont need that
Imagine T-55A brawling with that mobility, reload speed and gun handling.
Full stabilization is probably one of the only things it has.
I’ve never seen L7 APDS shatter while shooting at enemies from that tier.
L7 APDS is lolpenning T-55A.
if it would reuse the old model, then let it be leopard 1a3 or 1a4. They also have STAB but at least use different turret

What Leo is there besides the 1A1? All I saw in this thread are thing like 1a2 1a4 and 1a3 they are stabilized yes but are gonna be an upgrade over the another gonna be able to be on a level where it would be same BR as the regular leopard. Honestly leopard needs to go back to 7.3 it has no buisness at 8.0
I don’t find an issue with the current Leopard 1. It’s got great mobility, great gun handling and incredible optics. The issue I see is BR compression, as always. The AMX-30 has got the same issue with a worse round, and France doesn’t enjoy stabilized MBTs till further down the line.
It would be nice that, instead of another Leopard for Germany, France got either the Leopard 1BE or Leopard 1-V under the BeNeLux subtree, in order to further reinforce France 8.0 (which is quite lacking IMO).
P.D. I would enjoy seeing other symbolic versions of the Leopard 1 for Germany, such as the 1A4.
