The R2Y2 v1 especially, that completed flight trials under prop power and had the jet engines ready to be mounted, but was bombed and destroyed after it’s first test flight, their where also 2 additional fuselages built, at least one of which had no provisions for the piston engine in the fuselage.
But people like to pretend that the photos of the prototype in the air are the R2Y1, despite the project being canceled 9 months earlier with only 20% of the prototype built and not even the design work finalized.
Although the design apparently was planned to be only armed with a bomb/torpedo, no guns.
Hey. As we have answered many times, the KH-38 is an already well established missile family with interchangeable seekers depending on the variant and mission. There is more than sufficient information avalable on this missile for it to be in game. As everything about the missile and seeker is well known. As well as beeing shown mounted to an aircraft.
Spoiler

There has been no “refusal” or lack of sources for AIM-7P on F-14D. This has been answered very clearly several times that its a balancing matter (as all missile loadouts are) due to the aircraft being the same BR as the F-14B. Which also doesn’t have them. Community Bug Reporting System
Because these vehicles were removed for the same reason the Ho-Ri is now being removed.
As we have made clear since 2021, ships have a different minimum requirement to be in game since they didn’t have prototype versions. Ships just have to be laid down for them to be considered in game:
Q. Will there be projects for series H battleships for Germany in the game? They were laid, but were soon dismantled. The battleship Bismarck will not be able to withstand Yamato and Iowa on equal terms. We would like to see the H-39 project.
A* We consider as possible the addition of similar ships, those that were laid down, but were not completed in reality
The TOG in game can demount the Sponsons for those that want to represent the version without them and as it appears at the museum. The sponsons are an optional feature for those that want to use them. The tank as it is at the museum is simply whats left of the project. Its worth noting the museum itself listed the gun incorrectly for many years. So simply going by whats present at the museum is also not fully representative of what the vehicle would have been.
Quite what this has to do with the O-I however, which has significantly less material, not not mention, only a track link in physical existence, is not very clear here. More than a sufficient amount of evidence and information existed for us to model TOG. The same cant be said currently for the O-I.
Sources show the Ostwind II prototype was produced. Flak 341 was a wooden mockup.
Sources differ on this entirely. But it doesn’t compare to the Ho-Ri or why its going away.
Why isn’t the F-16AJ being removed?
Vehicles are considered for removal once a sufficient amount of the tree has been filled.
At this time, its the Ho-Ri in progress.
So now that it’s been filled with the F-2A, can we expect to see the F-16AJ removed anytime soon?
Ohh, like with the R2Y2?
Yep, we sure filled that line before removing it didn’t we? Ends at BR 3.7…
According to you the tree is filled.
The ho-ris removal means only Heavy Tank NO.6 is the only heavy in Japan and even then it’s rare.
I’m sorry, and I know this wasn’t your decision, but in no way has the tree been “filled a sufficient amount”.
The Type 99 has been in the game for well over two years by this point, and the Type 75 even longer.
To consider either of them being enough to fill the tree sufficiently now is one of the most laughable lies Gaijin has ever posted. And that is saying something.
The F-2A is a higher BR with different capabilities.
The Thai aircraft line, which included multiple ground attack aircraft around the BRs of the R2Ys was the replacement, which is cropped off of your screenshot.
Why its not possible to add to game more real version of HoRi which was like Marder?
The Ho-Ri is TD, and has already been replaced by its BR by the Type 99.
An insufficient replacement. I play Japan to play Japanese aircraft not Ladyboy that are Czech origin
Sorry, I meant heavy armour not heavy tank but the point stands.
Sadly there are no direct Japanese domestic equals, hence why the R2Ys were originally introduced and now later why Japan has received sub trees to bolster its ranks with gaps it cannot fill domestically.
Which is a vehicle so wildly different in its playstyle the singular thing it has in common with the Ho-Ri is the green coloured TD symbol. There are no other similarities. It is not a good “replacement”.
I put the word replacement in brackets because the Type 99 has been in the game for over 2 years side-by-side with the Ho-Ri so this is just peak laziness from the devs, especially now that Japan could get a Thai or Malay vehicle to serve as an actual replacement.
Then the R2Y2s should have stayed.
The Germans atleast had plenty of other vehicles to fill the gaps of the Fake-trio. Japan does not.
Paper vehicles are less of a problem than time travel rat and sph spam.
Japan has already been receiving vehicles from other nations in the meantime to bolster its ranks, and will continue to do so.
We mentioned for multiple years the Ho-Ris were under consideration to be phased out eventually. Now the tree has been expanded to a sufficient level, that is now possible to carry out.
So this is not reallt a sudden “out of the blue” change, but something we made clear was being actively considered since the Type 99 was added, or even before.
