if i remember correctly they will be replaced in the coming updates, the reason for the removal was that they found a replacement
Got exactly 14 rp into the production, playing Japan rn is just a bunch of level 10s
I got mine like aug. 2nd so I was sadden by the news and also said because I like playing Japan, I main it, its the best. and the entire month the games were full of teammates what expect the tanks to play like another nations and were tarrable and I could play top tier becauce it was just a “FUJI” fest and they left after one death.
Several folks within the staff believe the blog also implied that the Type 75 and Type 99 were supposed to be their replacements; the announcement of their removal had a lot of backlash. Although CC’s many at least simply scrolled past, some seemed more critical about it, since Japan really doesn’t have any proper replacements in game, at least that can fulfill the role that they did, which surprisingly helped a lot for German and other axis teams, since it was a mixed bag vehicle, not a jack of all trades but it simply did what the Ferdinand and Elephant fail to do, but also does it more aggressively, as well able to engage at range. It simply was a good vehicle. Do that with the 99 or 75, and you are dead within 2 seconds.
You also have 3 new, more historical replacements all suggested on standby, but knowing how long it took for Japan to get anything, and im not counting ships once again. No one plays that lord awful failure of a game mode. Unless you are coastal.
But strictly on the tank and plane side.
The time between when we actually get a Japanese aircraft or tank, you are a skeleton by the time it arrives.

tbh i rarely follow the announcements so i didnt relise that.
I do think they helped create a type of combat unavailable to Japan, and just as i was against the removal of the german wunderwaffe, im against the removal of the ho ri for similar reasons. as not only is there going to be another 2 vehicle gaijin will refuse to balance on the count of them being “rare”, but new players will not be able to get them, which falls under unfair advantage, and the constant removal of vehicles is the reason the war thunder accounts market is thriving.
in general the correct approach would have been a long needed nerf, which it wouldnt get for years (hell with the current track of removed vehicles it is more likely to get buffed), and gaijin should go with a “once in game stays in game” approach, instead of the lazy way of removing, and i am saying that as a heavy advocator for realism and no fake vehicles.
(Though the type 99 is goated, type 75 kinda trash today)
