Removal of ammo racks and fire racks (POLL)

barbette fires and straight ammo racks kill the balance of the game as it makes it super easy to beat opponents without actually using anyskill. Its so unfair especially sense they really only buff America and Russia as they can survive at top tier by using fire racks against the Germans and nuking the shell rooms of the Yamato. They claim its for realism but they also claim that they will sacrafice realism for sake of balance.

i really think naval should get rebalance as literally no yamato a 8.7 ship can do nothing against a 8.7 soyuz or 8.7 IOWA and even the 8.3 south dakota can beat it in a 1v1.

bismarck can be 1 tapped ammo racked and get cutscened basically by almost any 6.7 ship in the game its not even funny.

would you like to see them change how fire and ammo rack mechanics work so it effects everyone equally ?

Hello long time naval player. Ammo Racks need to stay it is balance one lucky shot all it takes which takes skill only time it doesn’t is Arcade

yes cause ammo racking ships takes actual skill its not really fair to say by that logic it takes skill to bomb a ship and sink it

its point and click

naval right now doesnt take any skill its all about the boat your using genuinely what decides it

that is if your playing Arcade however if your playing realistic it’s not really a point and click you need to get range then set the guns to that range hope the ship your trying to hit doesn’t turn

depends on the aiming sytem you use 90% of players do not use the manual range finder they just lock on and lead the target its not very skill based at all

theres a reason naval has maybe 14 players max a day while the most skill based mode air has hundereds a day

so I seen more then 14 on I seen full lobbys in naval EC. and one does not simply lock on in Naval Realstic

you lock on via middle mouse button then wait for range finder to calculate and align the 2 arrows very simple a monkey could be trained to do it

Ah yes thats how that works see you still need to range set rounds to where you want to hit not really a point and click cause you can over or under shoot rounds

yeah and its really not that hard to do its like saying tanks isnt point and click cause you have to elevate the gun to hit farther its as close as you can really get to point and click

then this whole game is point and click and your argument and my are all invalid

it is unfortunately least skill based game out there thats why im asking for more skill based balancing so you cant just play one ship get 19 kills and dominate the whole match unopposed cause 2 countries completely dominate naval its not even close

well I mean I dom with 3 but thats cause I played naval games most the time

i just naval to be atleast somewhat skill based cause anyone can aim for weakspots on ship like barbettes cause the only one can be killed by barbette fires the other cannot

and it shows up in KDs the highest KD ships right now at toptier are for may

kills per death for month of may

That’s not how it works for realistic.

Not only do you have to lock unless you choose to fire off a salvo that’ll probably miss since you need to take into account target closing distance, your current movement and the enemy’s angling to dictate if you aim a little bit farther or shorter with closing distance in mind.

Arcade generally handles closing distance calculation.

Its also the only reason why Scharnhorst & gneisenau aren’t 8.0+ so… would only end up increasing their BR notably.

And everyone is equally affected, if just their short ammo lifts reduce the amount of time people can react in a few specific ships.

With the upcoming boiling explosion mechanic, Id wait and see anyway. Its possible that could end up largely doing the same to some other ships too
