These medals are currently placed in the Italian tab, because they represent rewards which were given to Germany’s allies. Although in my opinion, it’s logically incorrect from the game point of view to place such medals in the Italian section, because you can’t get them using any Italian Tech Tree vehicles.
This also creates a confusion, because people who have never played Italy can have medals for this nation.
In my opinion the best and the simplest way to solve this issue would be to just move these 5 medals into the German tab:
the gap in the Italian tab can be later filled with other medals of Italian origin (and its subtrees);
the progress players have already made will be saved;
requirements won’t be changed (there could be another way to correct requirements into German-made vehicles in the Italian tech tree, but it would be much harder to implement and support);
medals of German origin will be placed in an appropriate tab, avoiding creating confusion.
Well, I think there’s a little sence in forcing Italian players to play Germany, and not just “play”, but play it a lot if they want to have all medals in the Italian tab.
From historical point of view it doesn’t make sence either, as these rewards were given to other nations diplomats and not only Italian and Hungarian, but also Japanese and Finnish for example.
It’s weird that there’s medals that only be obtained by playing from a completely different tt. The only “Italian” aircraft you can use to grind them are the hidden Italian vehicles in the German TT back when Italy was a de-facto subtree of Germany. As well as said medals being handed out to all axis members not just Italy. It makes just as much sense to put those medals in Japan or Finland via Sweden then it is in Italy.
It would be way better if we get more Italian Medals in it’s place. Ideally some medals from either the Co-Belligerents and/or the Current Italian Army.
