Description: The Reggiane Re 2003 was an Italian fighter bomber/reconaissance aircraft of the second world war. It’s story started back in 1941 when the Regia Aeronautica was looking for a new recon plane for replace it’s old Imam ro37 and ro37 bis. They looked at various proposal made by the various Italian aviation companies and they founded what they were looking in a modificated twin seat Re2000. This version called Re2003 was developed by the Engineers Roberto Longhi and Antonio Alessio in the 1940. Compared to the normal Re2000 this one had two seat, the fiat A74 engine and attachment for a sinlge 500 kg bomb under the fusulage. The Regia Aeronautica ordered a prototype at the start of the 1941 and by the july of the same year the aircraft made it’s first flight. The Regia Aereonautica was satsfied by the aircraft perfomances and a second preserie unit plus 200 standard units were ordered. Unfortunalty the after the was chnaged it’s tide the order were changed from Re2003 to Re2002. The two prototypes managed to survive until the armistice, but they were never actually used in combat. But one unit was seized and taken by the germans, who used it for train a part of it’s pilots for the Re2002 fighter bomber. it’s fate is unknown.

Why it should be in the game: It could give to the Italian air tt a good ground attacker for low tier. it could be placed in a folder with the Re2002 giving the fact that they are pretty similar.
