Regarding Arcade Battles and Realistic Battles

I believe the vehicle parameters and performance should be exactly the same in both modes.

Strictly speaking, Realistic Battles are not a more advanced or superior mode compared to Arcade Battles. RB simply better fits the fantasy of a military simulation, while AB better fits the experience of armored combat and direct tank engagements.

War Thunder is unique because it can satisfy both types of players at the same time. The only real difference between the two modes should be the information system β€” mainly the presence or absence of enemy position markers caused by different levels of battlefield information sharing.

This whole portion is vague posting.

You are forgetting something important.

Fair, I oversimplified it. AB and RB differ in more than just enemy markers. What I meant was that I’d like the tanks themselves to feel consistent across both modes, while players can still choose the pace and level of information they prefer.

What important difference did you have in mind? I’m curious.

Tanks have more Horse Power and Turret Traverse is faster.

This doesn’t even allign with how the game functions

Then what is the point of having AB and RB?

The pace difference is largely decided by the change in vehicle performance. Arcade would be a fair bit slower if all the tanks were more sloggish

That would feel more realistic

Right. If they want the controls to feel a bit more realistic, they play realistic. If they want a more arcadish feel, they play arcade.
