I would prefer that rather than artificially rising MP height they provided more maps like Pyrenees and Mysterious valley WITHOUT the near 100% low alt cloud cover so you could actually terrain mask without ploughing into a mountain that popped out of the fog 20m in front of you at mach 1.2.
The issue is Gaijin keeps making maps like Falkland and Denmark that are mostly flat and offer little terrain to use as cover.
Thats also a nice idea. Reducing the size of trees would also help alot. Tree coverage is too high in general and their size needs to be more realistic. Does a plane really just explode like a 1000lb bomb, when it touches a tree top? Thats also something which should be considered. These 50m high megatrees we have ingame, really provoke alot crashes and thx to the latest changes to the kill credit system (missile within 3km), Tomcats profit extremly from it. First they force everyone fyling low and scratch the trees and then they get loads of kills for nothing.
Ground explosions need to be nerfed, the blast radius is too high and even when you successfully MP, you often get critical damage when the missile slams into the ground…even if its not really close.
I don’t care how they do it, but they need to do at least something. Tired of Phoenix, Aim120 and R77. Beep beep bepp beepp beeep aaaaaahhhh
The amount of people on youtube and in-game complain when someone disrupts their “1v1”. I’m all about teamwork, I don’t wanna wait to see if I die or not, if you got the shot, you take the shot.
It means reducing the multipath altitude for basically every ARH SAM. The SAMP/T is known to have hit targets flying at 2 meters above the water, the BUK-M3 has a claimed minimum target altitude of 15 meters, the Sky Sabre has claimed minimum target altitudes similar to the SAMP/T, there isn’t much info about the Type 03 and HQ-11, but both of them are designed to shoot down cruise missiles, which are known to fly at 50 meters or lower.
Irl there is almost no MP. But a game shouldn’t be like irl. Especially not with current size of maps, flat terrain and lol airspawn at machspeed. Also the missile count is extreme compared to irl situations.
that and they don’t always actually exist, there are a lot of “trees” that are purely visual and do not actually have a hit box.
No, there was that incident where a USMC EA-6B flew into some cable car wires in Italy, broke all of them dropping the cable car and flew off with minor damage, pretty sure those cables are stronger then the very top of a tree.
Time for ECM to be implemented.
True, but there are more stories of planes crashing after hitting those cables.
They are actually one of the things im scared of the most because they are very hard to see.
Yes, don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming that the crew wasn’t extremely lucky in that case (barrage balloons where a thing for a reason), I’m just using it as an example of why a plane clipping the very top of a pine tree with it’s wing tip and exploding every time is a little excessive.
But that comes down to Gaijins over simplistic damage models I guess.
I agree if it isnt a 1v1 said in chat and agreed up on its not a sacred fight, furthermore when im in a 1v1 i dont mind a teammate killing the enemy so i can get back up to speed and reposition
Yeah, this is 80% of the issue.
Personally if I see a friendly that is clearly winning I will take a position over the fight and try to stop enemy players that try to 3rd party, but if it’s in any way questionable who is going to win I might butt in.
But that’s not some kind of sacred 1v1 code, it’s a combination of not wanting to take a kill they have worked for and are clearly about to get, and simply that diving in will either put me between the enemy and friendly and I risk getting TKed, or putting the friendly between me and the enemy and I don’t have a shot anyway.
There is no way this hq11 used memory mode
Russian helis need to be removed tbh. This is idiotic. Why can’t Gajin see this? With all these stupid small maps and advancded game mechanics they’re handing them ground kills for free. While they can’t be hit with missiles.
I think point was, that the HQ11 locked him through terrain (at least it looks like it from the clip), which should be fixed as well because it’s ridiculous.
Either a bug, or someone using something commonly called Cheats
It’s good to just look into the details of some SAMS rather than just guessing.
MP effect in general should be heavily reduced for PD radar seekers. Learn how to notch.
most people want to only fly in a straight line soo
Thats a different story, you see a friendly in a winning position and it would be a waste of a position i wont intervene but if they arent be sure as hell i am shooting a missile at the enemy. (Note that i almost never play prop, or early jets and basicly play 11.7+ exclussively because i do find BVR and missile combat more engaging)
Multipathing should be nerfed at the higher echelon of the game. ARH missiles with modern seeker should be better at tracking low flying targets. This applies to both air launched (AAM) and ground based (SAM) ARH missiles. Hugging the deck shouldn’t give you the confidence that out of 10 missiles, only one could potentially damage you. Especially with missiles that has larger warhead, an altitude advantage should’ve guaranteed a severe damage.
Note that not all aircraft are capable of wielding a dozen ARH missiles and gambling on shooting at a multipathing target, especially when being pressured or outnumbered. This makes it extremely difficult for aircraft with lower munition counts. Not only do they have to deal with their missiles being intercepted mid-air, a good positioning might not reward them as well. I admit that I wasn’t so sure if radar performance could affect the multipathing parameter of SARH missiles so I leave it at that. This would be best if implemented by scale. The higher the BR, the less effective multipath would be as the player skill increase.
If implemented correctly, the effectiveness of top down or semi-top down attack will significantly increase. This would hopefully lead to a better planning and positioning. A proper SEAD would also be required to eliminate enemy SAM systems because I love larping instead of multipathing all the time like sweats.
TRACK MEM is a radar mode that typically activates when locked target perform evasive maneuvers and/or deploys countermeasures intended to spoof the radar. Few missiles excels at maintaining lock due to their tracking method being different than other (CW vs Pulse). However, TRACK MEM is also capable of providing accurate track of target beyond the gimbal limit. I’ve especially noticed this when performing last second ditch to notch and finding my missiles still connects.
Yes, IOG does exists and in close proximity or against unmaneuvering targets it could maintain proper vector. The opposite could be said when the target is actively maneuvering and changing direction. This is especially beneficial to R-27ER due to its higher acceleration.
Understand that the issues lies everywhere (BR compressions, seeker sensitivity, RCS value, premium vehicls, etc) and has to be addressed simultaneously to actually better the game as a whole.
