Recomended CAS for couple BRs

I’ve been playing for some times on other BRs than i usually do and i’ve discovered some BRs that i really enjoy - 8.3 and 8.7.

All is good, but i’ve some BRs lacking with good CAS
Because, as we know, you need a CAS plane to properly play ground battles lol, back to the topic

What would be a good CAS option for:

  1. GER 8.3

I am enjoying Turm 3 very much, but i would like to add a capable plane, as mig15 is situational as CAP, often being just a SP waste. Is there any good option without the need of uptiering the 8.3 lineup?
Lineup: Turm 3, Gepard, Allouette, PZ2000, MIG-15.

  1. RU 8.7

Very cool lineup, but literally no good plane here. I’ve been trying to use TU-14 but it’s bad.
Is there really no good plane other than 8.0 premium mig with those ccip rockets?

  1. GER 10.7

I’ve been using lazur here for CAP, but i want to change it for something that can actually attack ground targets, like other nations can. I’ve been trying to use F-4F with AGM65B, but it’s bad and ugly.
Other options require to uptier the lineup to 11.0.
What do you use at this BR with germany? Maybe F104 with CCIP 3x1000lb? Or is mig 23BN any good, being uptiered at lest +1.0?

Your best option is the F-4F with mavs solely because you can fire them without getting too deep into enemy air defense net AND you dont have to guide them. On top of it its fast which gives mavs some boost.

  • F-4F can double as good CAP too once you expend mavs, AIM-9Js have good range for rear aspect shots and in GRB there are no markers so you get to jump onto lot of people.

Avoid iron bombs, too many IRs and long range SAMs at this BR for them to be practical. You basically have to rely on the airspace being uncontested which, good luck with that.

You can use F-84F. It have CCRP and can carry 4x1000 lb bombs, however it doesn’t have good flight performance

MiG-17 or MiG-15bis, both have S-21 rockets but without CCIP.

F-4F is your best bet here. Don’t even bother with MiG-23BN, it’s not worth at all.

Went for it exactly due to CCRP, but the accuracy increase is negligible in the grand scheme of things.

Too many things need to happen correctly for it to be useful.

Target has to be stationary and you are effectivelly sitting duck, because anything but perfect approach to the bombing point will just mess up thr bomb trajectory.

And with how bad its FM is, you might as well crash after spending your last bomb, because you arent killing any aircraft and you are not making it off the tarmac if you rearm.

Agree, but at least there is a choice what to bring to lineup. And it’s designated as strike aircraft, so you can take MiG-15bis too without SP penalty.

shame they nerfed nords on Gina and alpha jet sits at 9.0.

Was thinking of trying Gina with FFARs, but im not in mood to grind the neccesary modification with the current BR placements.

I just started using bombs - they cost less and more reliable than AS.20

Eh, not fan of iron bombs at BRs with radar guided SPAA, they always give me feel of being too exposed if i want to drop accurately.

That and i geniunely suck at aiming iron bombs with jets that dont have CCIP.
