Reasons of TU-4 being at 8.0 BR

that was before low tier jets got missiles to be fair and bomber damage models use to be pretty tranky back then too it could go down to 7.0 or 7.3 and be pretty balanced

Sounds like a skill issue of the fighter pilots, the defensive guns are the same on the Be6 and that thing is fine at 5.0. Only thing it has is much better coverage

na back in its prime tu4 would 1 shot you from sometimes well over a km. also its not just the guns but the amount of them and the coverage it had

well back in its time, not today. Nowadays you need to hit at like 1.7km to not get crippled

the guns are at 5.0 and they dont shred everything there, otherwise it would be pretty easy to have a 2.-3.ish k/d, which I dont see ppl have in a be6…

yeah i know thats why i support its br going down in the current meta

depends more on the enemy´s aim…

Would have to be at least down to 7.0 so it doesnt have to face the R511

It comes from when large bomb loads could end matches very easily and the Tu-4 and B-29 use to end matches rather rapidly. (killing all bases and then bombing the AF) and before jets had their current pervalence

This mantra of more bombs = higher BR just causes all matter of issues at a lot of BRs

(like Lancaster vs B-17 in terms of defensive loadout should mean the B-17 is much higher than the Lancaster, instead they are at the same BR)

yeah id agree 7.0 would be a decent spot for it

That coverage is pretty significant - the Be-6 has only 5 guns after all.

And don’t forget speed - the BE-6 is slower than a wet week

Only spots not covered are below and to the sides below the wings, so rolling around fixes most of the blind spots. And even one of the turrets is as lethal as some fighters weapons at the br

tu-4 has a shorter time of hitting the enemy bc the speed difference of an incoming prop at a be6 is mostly 100-200kmh and for an tu4 its mostly more than 300kph. The coverage on a tu4 is everywhere given, while the be6 has problems attcks from the belly and the upper gunner has its problems at certain areas which are covered, but need like 4seconds to adjust the guns… Thses problems are mostly fixed through adjusting your possition. good luck doing that in a tu4 where you cant easily show your deadliest side the enemy.

actually yea what is up with that? its a soviet clone of the B29 but it has 23mm defensive guns instead of more 50cal guns.

it doesn’t make sense for it to be that much higher for the better defence. it has basically the same bomb loadouts so a whole BR jump is nuts

atleast you have the privilege getting shot down by missiles pretty much every time. best russian bias.

I mean i hunt B29s in the sea meteor as people actually play them. Ive never seen a TU-4 actually be played. its the BR range you see canberra jet bombers and G91s you would be a fool to even try

all I remember was bad rewards after playing the tu4. The bad thing about it is that activating a booster and getting sth out of it(you will be the last one reaching the base) is more br dependent than other planes…

played 39 games, died 26 times and got 30 planes… would not recommend… I would rather play the be6…

I think it could be 7.7.
8.0 means it can always face air-to-air missiles - even in a full downtier; 7.7 is less likely (and the only a-2-a missiles it can face in a full downtier are from the SK-60B).
7.7 is not too low where it would just stomp most (if not all) fighters.

The B-29 used to be 7.3, which is ridiculous, but now that it’s 7.0… it’s alright I guess.

sk60b is not the main point for a2a missiles its more about all the british and french aircraft which have missiles at 8.3-8.7 which would be reduced when you move it down.
I cant comment on the b29 guns bit I can see why the tu4 needs to be a bit higher than it…
