Which removes any sort of vehicle variety and variability - which is why Gaijn artificially boosts aircraft and pilot G-limits.
Its a slightly unrealistic change for the sake of gameplay that allows for more aircraft variety, which is fine for RB. SB is slightly different as it is meant to be a full-on simulation mode, which is why I am okay with it being somewhat changed there.

This thread is title, “Realistic G limits for simulator battles.”
Anyhow, did some testing. Apparently crew skills for insane G forces comes down to stamina level rather than max sustained G (time to G-loc was around 2-3 second difference - corresponding to stamina skill giving 3.03 seconds for expert and 2.13 for noob. Not sure where the extra 1-2 seconds come from, probably G-lock skill still has an impact due to when it starts counting (at 5.9G vs 4.8G) I’m trying to think of a way to consistently do a 6G turn in a propeller plane with the P-51 mustang to see what impact THAT has.

With this testing, I feel even nerfing crew skills may be insufficient. It feels rather absurd that I can execute such a suicidal maneuver with zero consequence given what I’ve read about WW2 aircraft and their capabilities.
Even without G limits, I found flying my P-51, F4U-4, A6M3, Spit 9, bf109F4 to be very different experiences. Especially the spit 9.

In sim I can somewhat agree, but I still think [At least in RB], it is necessary.
It’d put significant buffs for a lot of planes (especially the gripen and other delta fighters)
Zendikar, I understand your concerns regarding AB and RB. That’s why I’m asking for the opinions of the SIM community on these changes within SIM only.
In my opinion, realistic G limits would be beneficial for game balance, as they would curb the abuse of UFO maneuvers and the unrealistic capabilities of some planes.
Also it would make G-lock a more relevant mechanic. Improving G overload management mechanics is a much welcome skill to be further developed.

Yup, once you max g tolerance and get silver qualification, you don’t need to worry about g force anymore in props. Vastly different experience with a brand new crew.
