RDFLT/HSTVL needs a pen buff

I don’t say this because I think the HSTVL/RDFLT are bad vehicles, far from it. The problem is when facing specifically 11.7/12.0 BR Leopards + copy pastes. The HSTVL/RDFLT are the ONLY 11.7 vehicles which has trouble penetrating the lower front plate of these tanks. Not only do they have a tiny hit box, but there is a spall liner over the secondary ammo rack. I think either nerfing Leopards (this probably wont fly with Euro mains) or buffing the XM885 would fix this problem. Thanks

Way to gain support for your suggestion - suggesting to nerf one vehicle because you struggle against it, lmao.

Or just putting them at 11.3

The developers don’t really “nerf” or “buff” vehicles that way, armor and penetration values are modeled as closely as possible to real life with publicly available data. What they do however do for balance is add/remove ammunition types as well as adjust reload times among some other things of that nature. Changing the BR of a vehicle can also be a way to balance it. the BR placement is based on “performance”, which is a compiled metric of how well the vehicle does on average (in terms of SL and RP gained and some other factors if i remember correctly) for each time it has been spawned in by a player.

We don’t need type-10 on steroids, so no thank you

A penetration buff would make HSTVL 12.3 as HSTVL is the 2nd best 11.7 light tank as-is.
HSTVL facing extremely weak side armor of Leopards is easy wins.

No it wouldn’t because buffing the xm885 would only make the round more consistent not make it penetrate things that I usually couldn’t. He is not talking about delta 6 which would actually result in a BR increase.

Why only leopards??
They just recieved a relatively large nerf with the turret basket.
Don’t believe there are any 11.7 leopards other than the canadian 2A4

The XM885 round is good enough as is, and as long as you aren’t facing tanks head on (Which you shouldn’t be doing in a light tank) you should be completely fine.

Rounds don’t get penetration buffs/nerfs.
Which is the entire point of the post you responded to.

Stop shifting the goal post. That should’ve been you main argument.

Give it Delta 3 and call it a day

especially the balancing was visible when entering RDFLT, after one streamer’s video. as soon as sales were under threat, recharge was immediately upgraded. error reports are nothing, fear of losing money is everything

I also said to just buff the ammo which was just nerfed in the new update

I typically do this but 50% of the time it hits the barrel and does zero damage

Because every other 11.7-12.0 tank can be frontally penetrated

was it? it looks just like it did before the new update.

also quick search in Leviathans changelog shows nothing about XM855.
