What you say makes a lot of sense, obviously the M1A2 needs something more than that XD
Pantsir S1 make Russian cas can conduct a strike outside the defense zone simpletons.Other spaa can do like Pantsir?ItO 90M FlaRakRad can’t intercept several KH38MT,but S1 can intercept AGM-65 and no matter what type of bomb or missile. By the way, destroy enemy’s plane or heli.
Combined with recent developments.
Look like someone do not willing to let other people have external strike capability beyond the S1 defense range
You know what’s really funny is ever since they added m829a2 to the click bait it essentially better than sepv2 because they basically are the same tank now just the click bait doesn’t have dead weight that is tusk2. Lmao when your premium tank is better then your end of the line mbt you know you have issues. The fact is with all the bug reports still waiting for implementation on the Abrams, the lack of sepv3 which would be an actual upgrade, the amount of noob players combined with an average tank in the current meta and the some of the worst top tier spaa. It’s safe to say US top tier ground has been neglected for a while now by gaijin. Let’s also don’t forget get the garbage state of US helis because gaijin refuses to add fire and forgets because they go through smoke which they can just nerf to not go through smoke for balance or just add JAGM with ir version.Yet they add things like kh38s which is currently wiping teams lol.
All I can do is sigh…
It loses vertical drive because the round hits the hydraulic pump, which 1 isn’t faulty and 2 doesn’t even always happen.
Hit the Leopard in the same spot, its gunner dies so more or less same “issue”.
Hit the T-80BVM in the same spot you lose your auto loader if you don’t just straight up die from ammo cook-off (Same for T-90M
Challenger 2 also loses vertical turret drive, if it doesn’t just straight up die
Type-10 and TKX are less likely to lose gunner or turret drive unless you shoot on the left side, however the whole crew is sitting on a fuel tank that isn’t external so you’ll just die
VT4A1 shares the same fate as the Russian tanks, you’re gonna die
Ariete shares the same issue as Japan but with Ammo instead of fuel… so you’re gonna die
Leclerc shares the same fate as Japanese tanks
Sweden sharing the Leopards, obviously has the same issue as Germany.
And god help you if you’re in a Merkava
You’ll notice a trend here… if you get shot in the lower plate, you’re gonna have a shit time.
At lease the Abrams actually has a strong turret, a 1500HP engine with good forward and reverse speeds and a good gun. Combine that with all external fuel tanks and an ammo rack that can’t kill the crew and what more do you want? Do you want it to be actually unstoppable?
its cause the Russian tanks have BS magic ERA that can absorb APFSDS for absolutely no reason
What I want to say is that Russia is still the strongest country in War Thunder, and the reason why its win rate is not high is because too many players dilute the win rate. As you can see from the following chart, the T80BVM, with 13,029 battles, still maintains a high win rate. This indirectly supports why more players choose to play Russia rather than other countries.
As I mentioned earlier: players tend to choose a more game-oriented approach. When you don’t see a chance of winning in a current match, you won’t choose to respawn a ground vehicle, and vice versa. Moreover, the U.S. is at a disadvantage in most cases, which makes the low win rate even more common.
Exactly. It does in-game for some reason though, makes no sense it shouldn’t but it does think its something to do with the armor code on the era though
Because it’s supposed to. Look at the video I added.
I thought it was BS as well when I was grinding my Challengers against Russia… until I did my research and found out it’s how it’s supposed to be.
In actual combat, when I play the Leo, even if the gunner is killed, the commander can take over and continue firing, often getting multiple kills. However, when I play the M1, I have a pessimistic realization that after I get hit, what often happens is that the transmission, elevation mechanism, and engine all stop working at once, leaving me unable to do anything and then getting killed. Meanwhile, when I play the Merkava 4, the entire vehicle appears green to the enemy, but at least it doesn’t have the same vulnerability in the transmission like the M1… In fact, when I play the M1, I can even be hit in the neck by a BMP-2’s 30mm autocannon, resulting in crew casualties. This is just insane
I think what he’s trying to say is that in most cases the M1 is easily paralyzed and completely incapacitated, whereas in most vehicles you can only get this effect by shooting specific “weak spots”, in other words, the M1 is all weak spots
Choosing the underside of the vehicle as a reference does not reflect your opinion, as most vehicles are very fragile, I recommend using the Protection map penetration projection as a reference
I honestly don’t expect the M1 to be indestructible, but it should at least give the player more fault tolerance in head-on combat
I understand what you’re saying but I don’t see it as an issue. Like I’ve mentioned, I play the Abrams as well and it’s a good tank. Every single vehicle in the game as its weaknesses, as it should.
Difference is, in my opinion, with the Abrams at least you have a slight chance of your team mate killing the enemy so you can repair. With a T-80 or T-90, you’ll just get one tapped and that’s it. Just in the last couple of days I’ve been one shot by a HSVL 3 times.
Again, while I understand what everyone is saying, you’re all acting like it’s meant to be some beast that just absorbs damage like the Tiger 1 back in Tanks open Beta… no… no top tier tank should be a wall. The whole game mode revolves around getting your shot off first and not getting hit in the first place. Every single tank can be one shot, as they should be.
I can see the argument for needing a better SPAA 100%, but the Abrams is fine.
Yet another US suffers thread using Pantisir-S1 as example. To be honest USSR was my waste of time in War Thunder, if I had grinded Japan, Italy and China I’d probably would find the game more entertaining.
the HC is the best abrams in my opinion just cause it can dig itself a trench to protect its hull armor
I chose to show the exact same spot you chose to show to get my point across that if you’re shot in the lower plate, you’re gonna die. You’re the one that chose to use that as your example.
What do you mean by this? It already has a good turret and as I’ve shown, the hull is a weak point on every tank. Same with turret ring on most. The only tanks that don’t suffer from the turret ring are tanks that can easily be destroyed by the ammo rack.
So if you “fix” the turret ring and lower plate being a weak spot on the Abrams, you are literally asking for it to be indestructible. As I’ve mentioned time and time again, it has a good gun, it’s fast enough both forwards and backwards and it can’t be instantly detonated by ammo or fuel… what more do you want?
I’d hate to see how you would react to the T-90 being made of ammo just waiting to be cooked off with no chance to retreat with a 4kph reverse speed or the Challenger’s with their massive breach, paper hulls and all around sluggish movement.
That’s a good point, but I think everyone has their own favorite country, and game developers don’t rush everyone to play Russia, do they? I have played Sweden and Italy myself, but I still decided that playing the United States would bring me pleasure, it’s as simple as that
Exactly, the Hull is a weak spot for ALL tanks, like it should be. Blame Gaijins map design forcing everyone into close quarters combat where you can’t hull down instead of calling for vehicles to be buffed for no reason.
Imo US problems from the SGB perspective:
- lack of gen3 TVD on the M1 tanks
- ADATS is inadequate air defense and not worth using except killing helicopters
*US CAS is not nearly as effective as RU CAS due to inferior armaments.
