I’ve been grinding my Su-34 and thought what better way to gain a bit of extra rp on the side than by taking a gliding base deleter on the side.
So assuming that I’ll be flying mach 0.99, how far away can I drop it (distance can be seen with built-in optics)?
And at what altitude?

Max range as the optic can see. Usually 24k km?
For altitude I would say 1k-2k min but put your nose up before releasing.
Anyway I recommend dropping glide bombs at 15k so the bomb doesnt get there after the battle its over.
Oh didnt read all. For air battles drop it as far as you can so an aim120 doesnt kill you. Bomb has enough time. You can climb like 2k alt while getting to the 24k km range. Drop it the right bases, teamates rush the left bases.
FAB-3000 UMPK can fly 30-40 km if you’re super high (>10 000 meters/33 000 feet) and drop it at exactly Mach 1.01 with a 15-20 degree loft (so basically, you’re at Mach 1.10 and then pitching up and allowing your speed to drop and then the moment it hits Mach 1.01 you spam ‘drop bomb’). This is only really possible in Air Simulator as you’re less likely to get shot at and/or spotted. In Air RB just fly around 6-7 000 meters high and aiming for a Mach 1.01 drop and you’re <=30 km away from a base it’ll reach.
Also, you can kill 3 bases if you take 6 Grom-2s (3 per base) alongside the FAB-3000. You’ll be heavy as hell though so only take like 50% fuel.
(As for how to do those super long bomb drops, you can designate a point on the map using the little square in the bottom right and zooming in on the base you want. Your targeting optics will “lock” itself to that point and as long as you dont move it it won’t lose the point)
