Dear Gaijin, what is happening after update?
I’ve played before update and got stable 120-140 FPS range in 99% cases with less closely to 100 in heavy scenes like city map with a lot of wrecks
Now i get random FPS every new match with also random drops/spikes during match
It can be 140, next second it can drop to ~60 then go up to 80, and so on and so on.
What’s the problem?
Anyone who have same issues after update give feedback in comments please.
I don’t suffer random spikes, but I do have an issue with the game that crashes every time I initially open it. I have to click ok to the error, then send the info to the devs, and then restart, which then opens with no issues.

Every time there is a stuttering issue in War Thunder, your best bet is to delete the Cache and compiledShaders folder and let the game rebuild them, after your first game or two when all of the shaders get rebuilt it should alleviate most of the issues if not all of them.
And where is that folder?
Both folders are stored in the same location where your War Thunder is installed.

(((((((“It’s because Gaijin is in the slow process of “en$H!Tifying” expect $150-$200 premiums in 2-4 years and the fps issues to be ignored.”))))))) I used to get FLAWLESS 165 at near max settings with effect res at medium being the only exception. It is now a unplayable 120/80/29 mess that even when capped to 60fps through my drivers software it still jumps down to 29 every half second. clearing your cache does nothing. The staff and mass community are also the issue because they deny and blame everything on sound mods and HW or the classic idk man your the only one complaining. If someone here or in general keeps deflecting your issues and keeps saying “BrO BuY a BeTtEr Pc” should just be ignored why should I buy new IF IT WAS FINE LAST UPDATE AND THEY MADE NO IMPROVEMENTS! I now get to buy a PC I can’t afford and is somehow $600 more expensive if I build outright due to ddr prices skyrocketing. If gaijin fixes it i would be GREATLY surprised its been a while so i guess not because this should have been a day 2 fix.
For me, it’s the same, just goes all the way down to 20 which is just unplayable. It’s random too, it’s not like when there are a lot of flames or smoke or anything.

Same here, especially in higher br, turning on TVD and scoping in causes crazy shutters sometimes just freezes the entire game for 10 seconds since the new update and its still isnt fixed yet :(
