Just curious, does the plane that rams me get the kill? If not, what’s the point?
Only if it would get a kill anyway if you crashed now. Ramming in itself gets no credit.
What is the point? It usually takes two to ram in a headon. But if you are in a crippled plane, why not take a good one down along? If that plane doesn’t evade, all the better.
I get your point on crippled plane rams. I’d do that as well. it’s the rear end bomber rams and ones that ones that press on when I do evade that frustrate me. If I’m in a bomber I guess I can kind of see the point in stopping my bomber run. Anyway, thanks for the input.
We used to be able to get the kill as long as we landed some shots on the enemy before crashing into each other.
Then since 2023 or 24 the devs changed it to ramming counts as crashing, with no kills or RP/SL gain regardless of how much damage was dealt. But sometimes one player can still get the kill while the other doesn’t, I am not sure about the exact critiria.
It’s supposed to discourage people from ramming, but the implementation is RP/SL nerf, and in some cases you don’t have a choice: what else can you do aside from headon when flying a clumsy interceptor with a Japanese turnfighter closing in from 12 o’clock?
I just had a plane ram fail my bomber from the rear. I motored on and he crashed. I believe I did get the kill.
Yes that happens as well, sometimes you are running away but gets ram, and the game gives you a free kill for that.
