Rafale's reign in a top-tier RB?

I mean they’re all intercompatible anyways, if Italian one gets both but the others don’t that would be dumb imo, just on the basis Italian one trialed/used both

i was speaking of that in first answer i made ^^

Yep. The combo would be insanely powerful as well.

Short Range? fire an IRIS-T
Medium range? FIre an ASRAAM
Long range? Fire an AMRAAM/Meteor

I kinda hope they are limited to just one, not only is that easier to balance, but creates some variety/assymetry.

Or if being jammed just use IRST+Laser for datalinked launch.

Yup, although laser for ols-35 at least is limited to 20km irl (although doesn’t even matter, for some reason all irsts with ranging can range up until 30km in game anyways), and who knows what’s in the irst of su57

I just discovered something: Dassault’s official website clearly states the top speed as M1.8, but oddly enough, in-game, it can accelerate up to Mach 2.0 lol

Dassault’s website also states that the Rafale has an empty weight of 10 tons, but oddly enough it is 9,300kg in-game rather than 10,000kg.

Spoiler

wouldnt that be for the m rafale?

Yeah might be even though Rafale M is moreso ~10,300kg, just making a point that you can’t really just go off of what’s shown on Dassault’s website which isn’t very specific.

Well you prove your own point, congratulations.

Giant is such a big word. The report is already busted because more of people who don’t like Rafale rather people who liked Rafale, and the count is actually pretty low compared to Air RB’s Last Stand, but you can say that is also such an understatement. Also, again it’s up to Gaijin whether they would want to implement it or not, like what they gives are unlocked HOBS Launched instead of MICA fixes. It’s also Gaijin that gives Rafale a 360 degree RWR/MAW Coverage, and iirc the MICA-EM Angle Gate being smaller I guess it’s also done internally by Gaijin since I haven’t (yet) found a report that ask for MICA-EM seeker.

Fair enough, the very least thing of US are the barely even had 14.3 Aircraft now compared to USSR, idk if that would ever come to change in the upcoming last 2 updates.

Obviously I know that, I just wanted to point out M2K has undergone 2 times of FM changes, with being the first maintaining a low drag profile on high speed, and second one is done by Piiot_ which nerf the turnrate. You’re saying:

Is such an understatement too since it underplays the previous FM changes that makes Mirage 2000 pretty competitive at its BR. Since there are also accepted report that aren’t implemented yet like Mirage 2000C time-to-climb performance that could substantially increased its BR again to make it balance:

It is special, but at least IMO, since the fully spherical coverage would mean gurantee you could dodge an incoming Fox 3 without reposition your MAW/RWR Deadzone so you can confirm whether the missiles already being decoyed or not. I kinda disappointed Typhoon didn’t have it, since BOL is still effective enough at longer range although it indeed require more dumping rather just popping one like Rafale.

Typhoon has fully spherical RWR.

Whilst yes, the MAWS has deadzones. This is easily mitigated and likely underperforming, but with exact figures unknown, so it is standardised currently. But the coverage is more than enough to be used when notching a missile.

Though again, full MAWS coverage isnt that unique. Tornado GR4/MLU RET8 have fully spherical MAWS and so will the Harrier GR9A if/when that is ever added.

Also the PIRATE I believe should be able to double as MAWS, so that is at least one area that should be protected by MAWS that currently isnt.

The advantages of PD MAWS though outweights the minor issues.

As for BOL…

it should in theory be more effective than any standard CM (Flares or Chaff) and closer to large calibre for both (though I suspect the chaff will just be changed back to the universal standard calibre if/when its ever fixed)
