It’s not even that French mains are good. It’s about people finally grinding France after grinding USA, Russia, Germany, China, and then only after that grinding France. So that leaves “experienced” non French mains playing France with a better knowledge of the game than when they first grinded USA or Russia. This inevitably leads to lower statistical performance for starter countries like the US or Russia and higher statistical performance for “experienced nations”.
You can especially see this when you compare UK and german’s typhoon’s stats. shocking really.
Funny thing is when you take the average of Feburary’s stats of all the typhoons vs rafales, they have the same KD ratio

You can’t, but it’s not a rabbithole one should go down, and instead argue based on the merit of the arguments itself. Otherwise any complaints regarding the F-16C PoBIT or Super Hornet, or any complaints about the AIM-120D made by Americans “must be taken with a grain of salt”.

What the actual… What did I just read?
1- MICA can still compete in BVR, dying to a missile from over 10-15 km is a skill issue, and the MICA can be used in 40-50 km ranges (can actually hit a target over 90 km away if it comes in a head-on aspect and doesn’t change range and course, 40 km launches to counter the BVR if nobody else on your team is doing it is always a good idea, even if you know it’s not gonna hit.
2- Rafale’s FM is still crazy good, with great acceleration and top speed, being able to exceed the Mach 2 limit with 0 issues, the plane is also capable of pilling 15G and holding it, while the irl limit sits at 11G during emergencies and 9G in regular situations.
3- The MICA is still harder to notch than any other medium range Fox-3 (all except the Fakour-90 and AIM-54) in game, making it formidable in short range engagements, which is still the meta of WT.
4- Fox-3s with GNSS aren’t impossible to notch, it just requires a more active notching, as they can track you if you exit your notching or if the missile starts falling behind you.
Conclusion: Rafale is still one of the best planes in the game, it’s just beginning to have some competence, either due to the sheer missile count, over-the-shoulder capable radars or better tracking Fox-3s (when the target doesn’t notch effectively), but the Rafale will always be one of the best jets at toptier, and currently does NOT need Meteors nor MICA-IR (which are just MICA-EM with slightly worse range due to the IR seeker head being less aerodynamic)
Yes you should. You need to critically think about everything you hear so you yourself form a sound argument. We can’t take everything we hear for granted. I wasn’t saying that gamerino and americans are going to say false information or be biased but we need to be cautious of where these statements come from. But I agree, I don’t like this rabbithole. Just a newcomer to 14.7 and rafale, lets calm it down.
Most important modifications are done, just no cas ordinance. My KD was originally terrible stock, has improved a bit to getting around 2 kills a game.

2 K/D, in an aircraft you’ve just unlocked and not even fully spaded yet. (Im also gunna doubt you have expert or ace yet? that will help a LOT in WVR) Also the slightly weaker of the 2 Rafales given it should be heavier…
Seems perfectly acceptable to me and should only improve as you get better at using the still rather OP MICA-EMs

And let’s also remove the Gripen E from the game because its from October 2025, that’d be totally fair, wouldn’t it? You do realize the 120D isn’t even that good, don’t you? 185 km range isn’t that much when you get the same rocket motor as a missile with 120 km range, just with better programming to make it keep its energy more efficiently
I’d be open to advice on how to make it effective, as I must admit I’m used to longer range missiles.
I honestly would not mind them adding PL-15 asap.
