The Rafale M and C are both becoming one of the worst in their BR, the win rate in recent times have massively dropped to, I score around 1 kill a match with it and just die.
It cant compete in BVR at all because the drag on the MICA is way to high, it has one of the lowest missile counts in the game. Give it the meteor missile or the MICA IR to give it a new edge, its just stupid how bad it is.
Sure I guess it has a very good airframe and a 360 degree RWR but notching the new GNSS fox-3s is basically impossible anyways.
You mean it finally has planes that can compete with it, the Rafs are still the 2nd and 3rd best preforming 14.7 behind the UK Typhoon. After a year of being completely uncontested and shitting all over everything else in the game it can deal with being the not best plane in the game for awhile.
There are bug reports to fix the MICA missile’s range and a thread was made to request for these changes to be implemented. A poll was done and the majority answer was “Yes” to implementing realistic modeling for MICA as the range is too short to compete in BVR.
ah yes, because adding the aim120D (a missile from 2016) is fair against the MICA EM ( a missile from 1996), how you would make it on equal terms is add the meteor missile (also from 2016), and not keep it with a missile from the 90s that has the range of a side-winder.
If you do know how to get high results with it feel free to tell me I would love to know, I genuinely have no clue how to make it work.
and the MICA still being the only ARH missile in the whole game with a proper seeker modeled is fair on everything else isn’t it? It’s basically got the ARH version of a FOV IRCCM.
Choice A) Brit mains are the best in the game by a long way
Choice B) Laser Warning reciever is OP asset in ARB
Choice C) Something is going on with the MM that results in the British Typhoon performing considerably better than the Italian Typhoon (german Typhoon performance can be chalked up to being one of the big 3)
The youtuber Gamerino made a stream about it recently (recently as in a couple hours ago) hes known as a pretty good player, he says its pretty terrible right now due to the massive under performance of the MICA. Now sure I must admit I’m not the best 14.7 player as this is my first time playing at that BR, but I have been playing this game for a decent amount of time and I know when a vehicle is under preforming.
I would say that players who play Britain and France are the best minor nation players in the game but are relatively equal with each other in skill level, but the AESA Eurofighter is having better kill per death and kills per sorties despite being matched with Rafales, due to its insane early game pressure that shapes the rest of the matches.
D) many US mains not knowing how to fly in a not straight line making BvR missile shots viable.
E) French mains are not as good as they think they are.
Gamerino is a very good player. But whatever he says can’t be taken word for word. You can’t forget he is french himself. Skill wise alone, he can get aces and control games in every plane. MICA is under performing in BVR because its seeker and turning is the best in game. You can’t ask for a next gen missile like Meteor just because MICA can’t hit from afar when its best strength is close-mid range.
Essentially, rafale, su30sm2. typhoons, J-15T all has to be played differently to do well. I suspect that since you’re new to 14.7 and the Rafale, you might post this in fustration. I promise you the Rafale is a very capable plane.
