Meh, stock is just never fun times for me. No chaff to help defend with, -30% flight performance and only 4 missiles; with only half of them actually useful before the match is 95% decided.
Spaded rafale is great but stock it’s just 2 kills and then kinda screwed by the game, god forbid you go up against the super su-30SM2 and they just notch+spam you in a match
Tbh if i had to play any top tier plane from stock again itd be the Rafale at least you can multipath and get a kill with a MICA from close range with that one. Doing the same in the EFT or god forbid in the Gripen stock is such a nightmare

Typhoon FGR4 stock for me wasn’t that bad, ground it and rafale pre-update and I preferred the Typhoon for letting me have a little early match presence even if the captor-m sucked and long range missile attacks aren’t particularly effective
I don’t like being forced to just defend or multipath all game until someone is stupid enough to fly into my death bubble

I found the first Typhoon in Jan 2025 a doddle, but doing the second one in the AESA heavy environment an absolute chore, at least until I got the first half dozen or so core mods
I mean yeah typhoon can just say “watch me zoom out of your NEZ with a dive” and there’s not much people can do :v rafale kinda can but the top speed limit makes it harder

So u don’t know what’s stock grinding the Rafale in 2026 with only 2 “useable” missiles (if MICAs are somehow “useable”, cuz they feel like trash for me) and facing at the exact same BR things like Su-30SM2 and Typhoon (AESA).
If Gaijin believes that’s balance well it’s not, that isn’t called “balance” that is called “PUNISHMENT”.
A plane with 8 missiles and a sh*tty radar facing something with almost twice the amount of missiles it carries, with more thrust, better maneuverability (with TVC) and to make it worse the best radar ingame.
Sure ignore the wing rip speed of Mach 1.1/1.2 compared to other aircrafts.
Su-30SM2 has a way easier stock grind, mainly by the fact that once u unlock R-27ER u become an actual threat since u can crank with the Su-30SM2 and it’s OP radar, which u can’t with other Flankers.

Rafale has one of the easiest stock grinds… I just stock grinded the J-10C which is a far worse platform with worse weaponry, I wish it were as easy to grind as a rafale.
Every top tier jet starts with only 2 fox3 and 2 IR missiles.
Also, the rafale is still amazing and its my most consistent top tier jet to get good matches with. (I also got the SM2 and the EF aesa)

Best Fox-3 in the game still, hardest one to notch, insane close range pull and can be launched with TRK MEM.
