To be honest, this version is way away from finish. Typhoon even dont have a collision model - it could directly fly into the mountain/water.

The top tier BR should go to 15.0, then buff f-14b through aim-9m and nerf aim-54A, so f-14A could go to lower br

It’s been so fun evading missiles by literally burrowing under the ground only to emerge when I feel like it. All I have to do is avoid hitting ground obstacles like trees.

Found out Japan rank 7 air still only needs 1 aircraft researched to proceed to the next despite more aircraft having been introduced, this update was rushed too hard, idc if it had to come 2025 Q1 if it meant it actually worked

No need for those,… just having the game decompressed would be fine.
And in all honesty, if people were to play the game as they should, AIM-54A and C hitrates would dropped by 70%

Fr, I still haven’t had a chance to play most of the new vehicles from the last update, including the taiwanese mirage 2k ( 😍 ) which is now one of my favourite planes in the game
They will change that in an economy patch I imagine
God i hope they dont implement the leaked -50% global reduction to SL gain. having a 50% SL booster (with premium) on is what it feels like the SL gain should be

I’d simply drop the game tbh, I’m already unmotivated to even grind my favourite aircraft OAT due to the bugs and convoluted economy, god forbid they make it worse

My passion for military aviation and research led to war thunder, best believe it can lead me to the light that is DCS at the end of the tunnel
Just hoping that the EFT module comes out soon so I can seemlessly transition over to flying Kola in a Typhoon as opposed to golan heights airspawn for the 37th time in a playsession

DCS seems a little sweaty at first glance and doesnt match that sim arcade itch that war thunder does, but i dot kinda want a HOTAS now that my PC can finally run DCS (got. a better PC recently) and i want VR goggles to try it with too but have no idea where to start yk. and DCS in most representations seems like a purely dogfight game although I’m sure its not. I should probably look into it
Depends entirely on server, I prefer the PvPvE style, so going on a mission to deal with some SAM site with HARMs, then dealing with enemy flankers in the AO, it’s not for the feint of heart gameplay wise but I personally enjoy the longer form matches and scenarios
Would literally be unable to play with 50% SL reduction. I’m already barely making like 20-40k sl for a 90 minute battle with my props, and my foolish idea to fly my sabre and demon left me broke.
F4U-4 costs like 4K to spawn, max income with 1050 score, 15 minute survival and landing… 730x15x0.92 = 10K. If I die after 15 mins and thus not land, it’s 8K. And more realistically I’d get 0.86 or 0.75 activity. And if I die before 15 mins I’d get alive/15. With half SL, you’d need to stay alive like 30 mins to afford 1 respawn - the same situation a lot of korean jets already suffer.
Horton: 17.4k to spawn, makes 1430/min so 0.92x15x1430 = 19.7K. You make 2.3K in your first 15 minutes max. If 50% SL reduction, the Horton now earns -7K SL for perfect play in the first 15 minutes of sim gameplay. For 2 cycles of perfect gameplay (kill 2.5 planes for 1050 score, survive 15 mins, land afterwards. Twice), it earns 2000 SL. Another 2 perfect cylces of gameplay (WHOLE hour of 2.5 kills/15 mins and never dying)… the horton can afford 1 respawn.
Maybe ARB would be still viable. I can right now brain off head-on a mig-21 in my F8U-2 and die immediately and make 3K SL/game/5 minutes. Actually doing well can go up to 46K. But it’d kill air sim for all but premium players, and even they won’t be able to progress just not go bankrupt
