I’m so sick of getting using ACM and it locking the missile that was fired rather than the whole ass jet it was pointed at. ACM is suppose to pick up the object within boresight with the largest radar return not the smallest or only friendlies. I’m currently stuck in the shit show that is Mid-high tier US jets such as the phantom and tomcat an anything using Aim-7s is like fighting the garbage man over a week old burrito i found even though i have the income to just buy a fresh one.
Also these radars drop lock even with the sky to their back even in non PD modes. This needs fixed. all it takes to break a lock against US jets is a single chaff.
Indeed. The TWS mode is terrible and sometime you just need a quick lock for IR radar seekng.

Here are some tips that could help 😊

Crash your plane repeatedly until it learns its lesson and now radar will work (should work after around 20-30 times)

(only works with AIM-7E2 I think) If enemy deploys chaff under 5km and you have already fired your missile, keep tracking the chaff… your missile knows where the enemy is at all times, believe in the missile… it will hit.

Play anything that isn’t US and french

If the enemy is close to the ground and you have no post doppler dont try and track it, only try tracking planes that are above 1000m, under that ground effect ruins it.
