By late ww2, it is standard practice for many naval vessels to be equipped with several anti-aircraft and anti-surface radars.
For example, Type 2 Mark 2 radar (for anti-ship. Type 22 radar) and Type 2 Mark 1 radar (dual-purpose anti-aircraft and anti-ship. Type 21 radar) and Type 3 Mark 1 radar (for anti-aircraft. Type 13 radar) on Japanese cruisers, battleships and destroyers. (The Type 22 radar has been improved and is now also a firing radar, but that is a quiet question.)
Besides that, for example, Fletcher and Nevada were also equipped with SG and SC radars.
However, some ships have these radars just mentioned, and some of them are actually effective, while others are just for decoration.
In maritime EC, the need to protect one’s own ships from enemy aircraft is greater than usual, and it makes a lot of sense to use radar to look for enemy ships at long range. Putting the radio detector aside for the moment, it is sad that when the captain looks at the radar from the bridge, there is no information provided by the ornament, even though it is circling.
Therefore, I would like to see all ships that currently have radar (that are not functioning within warthunder) to be fitted with radar.
