Since the latest patch 2.45.0.12 the radar on my planes don’t work properly. I can’t see anything on my radar screen. No matter the mode, SRC, SRC PD, TWS etc, I will pointing my radar right at the enemy and it will see nothing. I’ve flown into a furball twice without seeing a single radar return on my screen. I’ve flown the Mirage 2000-5F, Mirage 2000C-5S, Typhoon, JAS39Cand F-15I and experienced the same with everyone. I’ve also validated my game files twice with no change. Does anyone know what is causing this? I’ve asked in game and I seem to be the only one experiencing this issue.
Same on chinese Mirage 2000-5Ei. After I hit alt-f4 and go back to the fight, radar starts working again, but after few minutes it stops working. Landing/take off doesn’t help. I need to restart the game.
No targets on radar while visually identifiable. I can only lock the target when switching to close-in combat mode, but for that I need to be sure that it’s an enemy. Search radar not showing anything.
04:20 - F/A-18 frontal attack - nothing on search radar even though the target is on the sky and heading towards me
05:30 - JAS39C chase - nothing on search radar till I switched the mode to dogfight and then it instantly locked the target
Same here on basically any plane. Sometimes it works, but if I cycle my radar it often gets stuck in a situation where it can no longer see anything, despite the targets being head-on, well within range, same altitude, etc. Something is clearly going on.
Opened an issue: Community Bug Reporting System
In this flight on chinese F-16 there were nothing on the radar for the whole flight:
Russian top tier is not affected. I have Su-27SM and radar works well there. I also have Bison Mig-21, works well too.
Today tried again the chinese F-16 MLU and the issue is still there.
Been experiencing this in the F-14B for the last few days, radar completely blind in all modes until about 10km/7miles.
Do you checked where your radar is scanning?
Bind a key to “reset radar/IRST direction to boresight” and press it. So the radar resets to center.
Thanks! You are right. The radar keeps looking at the ground if it tracked the target and the target crashed. Lol I wasn’t able to figure this out for 6 months! This doesn’t happen on lower tiers, I guess the radars are always leveled at horizon at those tiers.
