So the radar is only ever used in these modes to provide ranging updates and is not actively scanning, the main focus here is IRST locking and searching.
.
MiG-23MF radar panel, notice we have P, T-P, T and T-Phi0
Here the IRST locks and the radar keeps scanning for targets. (Or vice versa). Probably best described as a very janky implementation of early TWS. (The ML does not have a mode like this.)
If its of any noteworthyness the T mode in the MF works the exact same as the T-1/3 modes in the ML when it comes to being able to provide tracking range via the radar in quasi-overview mode.
The MIG 29Gβs flight manual would clock the sustained turn rate at like 16.5 degrees sustained for a full 360 at best, in game Iβm pretty sure it clocks in at its worst at 16.1 and can max and hold out at just over 19 degrees meaning it does outperform its manual stated performance by quite a few degrees.
Perhaps, but it still quite a bit over what it should be performing and goes to show that the MIG-29 is not being abused by gajin as the other man would have implied.
