Racism in game

@Pacifica @Stona_WT how is this viable in a “team based game”

R6 Siege even has a filter for Afrikaans racial slurs but WT / Gaijin think it is OK and a 30 day chat ban will suffice? Even so, checking scoreboard or game end it still shows chat even if you have it disabled. Ye, you can run your manual control as stated by Pacifica before… but it is not working.

For everyone else that think racism is edgy / funny - grow up.

So chat censor will censor other words but not those?

Personally, I keep chat messages set to all because it’s fun to see how badly people rage at me sometimes, but if you set it to “Squad only” or whatever you won’t see chat messages from enemies.

  1. Why chat filter a message instead of removing a problem. You know, ****
  2. Chat filter does not block single letter spam.

Racism being a issue and having thick skin is not the same. Take it from someone that is from a generation that caused online bully laws to exist. CS & CoD Lobbies hit different back in the day.

We went at each other, never had the need to be racist.

That said, maybe you defending behavior is a sign. Would love to see your chat logs.

Keep dreaming and tripping with Gaijin’s developer actually working full day to improve the game, non-English and non-Russian slurs block are inexistent.

The word spam, paragraph spam is kinda impossible, games like Roblox a example of security in terms of player interaction doesn’t have those kinda of protection,

In terms of War Thunder is impossible² because you’ll need to verify every message in real time and identify the slur made by the paragraph spam sent by each player like:

“Guy1: F”; then
“Guy2: U”; and etc.

And probably all involved players receiving the punishment may be a good thing it also can cause false punishment.

We got Ubisoft to ban Afrikaans racial slurs, never mind other things.

Heck, Discord bots have better word filtering and chat spam protection.

Point proven, 30 day chat ban and then they are back at it.

Make a suggestion then, if you got enough argument to convince the Development team to work in a properly chat filter go on.

Would be nice if they could also put in a translator aspect as well

Bro 80% of the player base would receive perman bans

Just a word of advice… best not to interact with some, haters just gonna hate… and no point trying to argue with them…

And you are right…

Well… after that…

Thing is, some will be perma banned earlier depending on the circumstance and content posted in chat…

For the most part tho, everyone has a limited amount of chances, if some just cannot control them selves, then they will be perma muted…

As for OP… best to Report all that you see, and the GMs will take care of it…

If you have suggestions for the chat filter, it is best to PM Senior Game Masters and they should be able to pass that on to Admin Staff for the Developers consideration

Senior Game Masters:
(Contact them ONLY if those above cannot resolve your issue or if you have problem with any of them)

  • [Badpanzer ] - EN
  • [Beestar ] - EN, CZ, SK
  • [Schindibee] - EN, DE, FR, IT
  • [WoIfman] - EN

Community Manager:
(Contact him only if those above cannot resolve your issue or if you have problem with any of them)

  • [OrsonES] - EN, PL

Otherwise… it is quite impossible to really add a chat filter that deals with all of the nasty stuff out there, Developers will not know everything to add, but as I mentioned it is best to contact Game Master Staff and offer chat filter suggestion to them

Someone mentioned AI Filter… the problem is that some systems like that will just add more complexity and can be very resource intensive not just for the Server but user end systems… and I should add, not reliable whatsoever…

Player Safety online is extremely high priority of the Developers and Gaijin… they have a Right to Protect the innocent! and every case is taken very seriously!

so, as mentioned again, contact Staff and see what you can do to help make the game safer for everyone!

Thank you!
