GB doesn’t use AIM-120D on Eurofighter, only F-35. We still use only the C-5 variant, other than that it’s Meteor
I’m personally of the opinion the Eurofighters don’t need any AMRAAM beyond C-5. They have the flight performance to do without it until Meteor (and equivalents) are added.
I imagine this is going to be one of those times where maybe it’s not said now but during the test server, people are going to request this get added to the US tree too because quite literally “why not”. The US operates it (its a US aircraft) and it makes zero sense to not add it to their tree.

Germany and I think Austria operate C8s on their Typhoons, which could largely be similar to the baseline Ds being added. So that isnt an issue.
Though if Typhoon with C5 is fine vs F-15s with Ds, then F-22 with C5/Ds will be fine vs Typhoon with Meteor. Without an “equivalent” being added for them

It didn’t do anything last update with the F/A-18D, or when the F-16D was added. Or when the AV-8B+ was first added (got added after 1 year).
But they absolutely should give it to all possible options or atleast the nation that actually built it.

in game acceleration of a missile matters more than range (see people using AIM-120A/B over AIM-120C-5, and Fakour over AIM-54A)
The Meteor has very low acceleration
Unless the game changes drastically to allow for very long range shots (which meteor excels in) it will be DOA
Meteor is very poor at close range shots (90+% of all shots in War Thunder), this is why the Luftwaffe mixes AIM-120 with Meteor on their Typhoons

Meteor might have low acceleration, but it can be used for longer range larps then to push people back earlier, since once its at speed it can get real dangerous
