My only guess for not adding it to the US this time around is because the US might be set to get…what, the F-16C 50/52+ (Plus)? Like some upgrade to keep it in srvice until 2040? Or maybe the F-15EX?
I am actually intrigued the r37 is more like a ballistic missile with how it works right when compared to like the meteor or aim174.

R-37 and AIM-174 will likely share similar flight profiles. Meteor is more “straight line” than near space enthusiast.
