RAAF F/A-18F: Twin-Seat Superbug!

ASRAAM would be too big of a jump imo, Id like it, but as a seperate platform I think.

What is needed is:

  • Gaijin to stop artifically nerfing BOL
  • Add Phimat Pod(s)
  • Fix the FM

If it needs more then the first obvious step is Aim-120C5s but other options include TRDs

though it would be preferrably great if the F/A-18F was also added for the US tree. Twin Seaters best planes.

(Don’t make it yet another F-16D situation.)

Will USA get a F this update too or not?

30 seconds more battery so that it can lose the target for longer

i remember someone testing it out using statsharks custom missile thing.

Apparently it would be like an R-27ET with a much better seeker (probably much better initial acceleration too)

and Typhoons could carry 6 lol

Who wants to bet that external IRST pods and/or their associated radar will bug out like mad like external TPods did/do when combined with an internal FLIR (harrier Gr7 for example)

I think those tests were based upon CAMM and CAMM is massively underperforming at the moment

why the IRST on the fuel tank? why not give the armpit targeting pod its IRST capacity?

A-Darter was cleared for use on the South African Gripen in trials in 2024 and deliveries started in 2025, SAAF started training with dummy variants late 2024.

Just give it 9M seeker with LOAL. Can also artificially nerf it like they did with the SRAAM. Let it have its R-73 like maneuverability but only for close range.

I will admit its been awhile since they’ve been directly Op for a period of time. like the f15E lasted a month I wont lie that was busted but we haven’t had a long period of meta since the f14 released imo.

however some nations have literally never been meta so I do have to say as primarily a US only player the USA mains playerbase’s greed sickens me.

Yeah, I saw someone arguing that the Aim-120D should be US only to give a reason to play US over other nations and just ghosted me when I pointed out that Israel doesnt even have an AESA top tier aircraft at the moment

“I used the Hornet to get the Hornet.”

I love my two seater versions of single seater fighters.

(hence why the T.12 harrier is my favourite plane)

they are getting one this update aren’t they I swear the leaks from last Christmas said an AESA f15e was delayed to next update.

hopefully they get that I will be slightly jealous but its like Germany getting the eft after the ICE they kinda are owed it at this point.

No idea, Rafale is also an option based upon the planned Sub-TTs

Everybody getting the twin seat variants but the nation that built them.

Sure they’d play the same but why not add them in and folder them under the single seat versions?

Italy and Germany all have Aim120Ds in service on their Eurofighters. Those missiles could help to close the gap between the performance of the Rafale with their Micas. So they should absolutely get the 120Ds next update too! Atleast the AESA variants, that means its still a rather limited loadout with eight missiles but it would still be reasonable
