Because yhe m2 and m1 are SACLOS which completly negates the whole point of adding faf multivehicle sams like every other country at the time…
Also if you dodnt know the Buk ingame is still stuck usung the wrong radar, the one ingame is for M2
I’m going to throw my wildcard into the mix and say that, perhaps, it’s neither. No F-15EX nor F-16PoBIT this update. What Smin could have foretold might just be the F-16XL (it was in the 2026 decal), and to be honest I wouldn’t be surprised at all.

(I still think it’ll be an event/squadron (or god forbid, premium) vehicle, though
I’m leaning towards squadron, the US tree does lack a high tier squadron jet (like the Soviet Su-33) so this thing will fit snugly there.
I keep seeing people automatically drifting towards the newest shiniest toys that are available to be added, why not slow down a little, gets some stuff in the game that has been long overdue at this point? God knows the 5th gens that are coming are going to be padded up with new 4th gens before they’re added anyway.
F-16XL has neither an AESA, nor AIM-120D integration. Let alone it’s meager magazine depth.

I’m not caught up with all the hints Smin has given, I’m assuming these things are all going to be a part of the new platform, yes? If so then it won’t be the XL lol

Also coming for American aviation will be the AIM-120D, which will provide the USA with a needed boost over the current AIM-120C-5. This missile will feature on a new aircraft variant coming next update. But you will have to stay tuned to find out what!

2 seater hornet AKA the F/D have been wanted in the US tree for a while and all we got from it is “its been passed to the devs” I feel like this is bias, you give other trees US aircraft but you don’t give it to the US, for example the F-16D Israel and the F/A-18D Japan. Like everyone has been suggesting to folder the aircraft, now EVERYONE who wants the F-16D and F/A-18D/F has to grind countless hours to get it in another tree or buy/purchase a premium to grind faster.
I feel like this is bias against the US tree, that is my opinion.

The F-16D isn’t in a configuration used by the US though. It needs a new model without the dorsal spine (and the additional countermeasures therein) and no drogue chute
