Honestly they should buff both or atleast nerf the aim-120 a bit

It’s sucks in DCS as well as in IRL (the early model).
The fins on it causes a major drag.
So bad a lot of pilots prefered the R27R/ER instad.

R-77 is fine for close combat, just like the MICAS, but it’s useless for BVR, I think it’s time to add the R-77-1 to give all nations the BVR potential, France also don’t have a native BVR missile, but they have the F-16AM with AIM-120.

All other nations have AIM-120 or equivalent, like PL-12. So at the moment USSR it’s the only nation without BVR capabilities

(Don’t tell me about the R-27ER, its way less capable since you need to baby sit the missile until reach the target)

I’d like to see the addition of the R-77-1 with the Su-30SM and possibly the Su-34

But France does. In fact, the MICA EM is missing some ranges according to this report: MICA missile missing some kinetic energy // Gaijin.net // Issues

Also, France will soon have MICA NG EM as an option for BVR and it is in the files.

Lol no

I feel like main issue with MICA in game is not only missing range, but because it TVC and thus suffer from sane issues R-73 (unstable and needing energy to compensate)

They’ve been making thrust vectoring missiles more and more stable, perhaps once thrust-vectoring aircrafts come into the game, then Gaijin will have further refined the thrust vectoring issue. So far though, I haven’t had it spin out in low-speed launches.

Oh I hope so considering Su-30SM, which was leaked and promptly shown on WT 2025 sticker, IS thrust vectoring jet (also canards,.which adds to it potential bssery in terms of flight performance)
