lately r73 seems less flare resistant than r60m did gaijin change anything with the seeker or am i hallucinating?
There was some talk about FOV gating IRCCM only shrinking the FOV after relocking onto flares.

They’re not overpowered like they used to be, but It’s still pretty common for them to entirely ignore pre-flaring.
R-73 is completely trash useless since 2025 lmao, now it’s even worse
and it may take god knows how long until gaijin will fix it
Combined with the thrust vectoring stall, I wonder how improved variants of the R-73 will look like using the current missile in-game as baseliner.
I have noticed they arent as effective as they used to be but im all for it. Its about time something russian wasnt the best thing in the game at everything.

best IR missiles are the 9M and the AAM-3 (which is literally a 9M with less drag)
