Well, R-27 been developed, as modular missile, with high compatibility.
So, imho, it must be compatible with aircraft, which use ER.
As i understand - EA can be used as ER, just on terminal phase missile dont need guidance from plane.
Btw, anyone know the fact, that Fox-4 mean using guns?
I feel like the addition of an R-27A would be okay, but not the EA. EA would be completely broken.

R-27E can easily outrun any missle in game (as proof - F-15C, killed by my ERs, launched from 50km, because they been greedy, and want launch their spAMRAAMs from 30km first, and only then notch).
But 27A haven’t sense.
Just 27A, without “E” ain’t be better, than R-77, so it ain’t needed in that case.
And i dont hear anything about 27A - only about 27EA.
Well, i can say that if 27EA will win in speed and distance, 120 will win in manouverability, and carriers radar supremacy.
The R-27ER also murders in close range combat as well
ARGS-27 can work as SARH? Also, if WCS think that 27EA is 27ER you won’t be able to use TWS to guide the 27EA, because TWS cannot be used to guide R-27ER, so i doubt that you can use 27EA without changes to Avionics

If plane can use R-77 (29SMT/27SM) - that mean avionics can guide missiles by TWS.
Yes, just AIM-120 can track target by herself, and even been a video, when 120 make 180⁰ turn before kill, ER need a hardlock, and EA, will have lesser tracking angle of the seeker, than 120.
Only phoenix had SARH mode, newer missiles just receive datalink updates, don’t use SARH method.
How their avionics will knew which missile it must guide if 27EA was abandoned before these planes so software don’t know about 27EA?
Now it just cannot move fins so far.
EA shares principe of work, so if newer planes can use 27ER/77 - they can easily use 27EA.
How if their software just doesn’t know about 27EA?

It’s know about ET/ER - so it can launch R-27 (any model).
It can guide Fox-3 (R-77) by TWS, so it can guide EA.
