This error is deliberately not corrected. Here is a video of the previous dev server
Р-73 180 | R-73 180 (youtube.com)
This video displays a pilot firing a missile at a horrible time. Skill issue, idk what you want me to say.
In this video I tested the capabilities of the updated r-73, so there is no pilot error here
It 100% is pilot error that you shot a missile at a target below you and going to your left while your nose is facing upwards. Theres no way in hell your missile would have landed.
Why shouldn’t my rocket hit if it has a controlled thrust vector?
Anyways, genuinely curious how the AIM-174 relates to this discussion
Same as IR missiles
Just no way
What?
Theres no connection between topic and 174, same as with IR missiles and topic
Then how did everyone start talking about the AIM-174, SM-6, and the R-37M
No, simply change some parameters for the R-77 and call it a day if that is even required.
The ingame performance of many modern vehicles and weaponry is made up or dumbed down anyway, we don’t need another magic missile thats 395694x better.
Hell, I don’t even actually know if you’re just having very poor games because I haven’t played on that BR yet because I don’t enjoy it.
But you already want to change some parameters in 77
So that may cause magic missile as always
There is no parameters gaijin has agreed to fix. For instance the current R-77 has WAYYY to much drag above speeds of Mach 1.2~ because of the grid fin design being improperly modeled without variable drag. They have distinctly said they will not be adding a variable drag mechanic soon.
My bad, should’ve added “if at all even necessary”.
If it is not in game already(looks like it already here) - will be worser tbh, until 1.2-1.8 mach.
Still will be bad on WT altitudes, if not less range after that
It would be fine because for the duration of its flight it would be going above that speed especially if launched from altitude at the necessary speeds
Still will be bad in WT conditions, mostly 1.2 mach, less than 10kft altitude
Which gives not really good starting.
It’s better than what we have currently
With good launch conditions - yes
With bad - even worser
NOT true.
Yeah, but still its still the same IRCCM.
It’s not better in a front aspect use because of the tracking suspension. In rear or side aspect shots, it forces the enemy to give up position and even bleed airspeed while using more flares. THAT is when its better, not in a front aspect use.
