Is so weird how people really claim that R-77-1 is the best FOX-3, they even trust so much an application that shows a simulation of the ordnance behavior in graphic/tabs and they blindly believe what those stats says.
Well, maybe in perfect conditions R-77-1 is the best FOX-3 but in practice is the most ridiculous, untrustable and unreliable FOX-3 in the game.

IDK man, SU-30 kill ratio is 1-2 while Rafale are always the MVPs they always score 3 - 5 kills and F-15 score 2-4 kills.

I’ve always been told and heard that the MICA is above and beyond any other FOX-3. And I believe it.
Unfortunately the maps are too small for the AIM-120s to have any chance of being truly useful. The R-77-1s have decent range and good manueverability but nothing compared to the MICA. In the end, the MICA solos.
That said, I’d rather take the Su-30s R-73s or R-77-1s to the Aim-120As of the F-16C or the Bs of the F-18C or 15E. Because at the end of the day they are better.
Mica is better but r77-1 is a close second.
Context matters
In a WVR fight. MICA is king
but in that short range BVR fight (around 20km) I could see R-77-1 pulling ahead with its great Time to target.
Combine with having a massive number of missiles. You can keep a target surpressed
yeah the r77‑1 right now is clearly bugged it loses lock way too fast and the tracking is worse than it should be so comparing this version isn’t really fair wait until it’s fixed before calling it weak or judging it properly
when it actually works as intended the r77‑1 is insane in anything that isn’t long range it’s faster than aim120 pl12 and aam4 and it’s basically tied with mica at launch but once both missiles are off the burner the r77‑1 starts to pull ahead it can pull up to 50g and it carries a bigger warhead which makes it way more lethal on top of that planes that carry r77‑1 usually get more missiles 12 r77-1 overall which matters a lot in real fights so yeah when it’s not bugged it’s easily top three in close to medium range and depending on the situation you can argue it’s top two no problem
In that order, being “1” the best to “9” the worst. R-77-1 has good acceleration but once its booster is over it bleed speed so fast and considering that planes move and chaff, the missile bleeds even more energy to maneuver, R-77-1 is terrible for BVR; for short range it has better accuracy but I’ve seen how it fails at distances of 8 - 12 km when the missiles wasn’t bugged as you are telling now, if I’m about to engage into a short range fight, I’d prefer to use R-73 or R-27ET (people usually use Chaffs 'cause they think all missiles I’m launching are ARH) in close range IR missiles may get the surprise kill.
It is just my experience, sometimes I rather equip R-27ER instead of R-77-1.
And saying that Flankers are strong cause it loads 12 missiles it is a sign at least in this game, that you need to spam from 2 to 4 missiles to get the kill when it is not supposed to be that the objective, 1 missile 1 kill, just as R-24R in 11.7 matches
The fact that A/B/RB99 are 100% identical and that you’ve placed C5s so high does make me question your logic massively

Those get the kills nd most of the times Typhoons, F-15s are in the top, SU-30SM die with only 1 kill most of them. If A/B/C/99 are such bad missiles in comparison to R-77-1 as you are saying, why F-15 and Typhoons pilots usually score more kills than mostly all SU-30SM pilots?
If R-77-1 were as strong as you implying then, Why SU-30SM pilots are not the MVPs as Rafales pilots mostly are?
Because the F-15 and Typhoon can impart a rediculous amount of energy into their missiles. By your logic, anything that can carry AMRAAM is better than the Su-30SM? But the Su-30SM will completely destroy aircraft like the F-16 with either B or C5.
But most of my deaths in the Typhoon come from SU-30SMs firing R-77-1s
C5s over R-77-1 is … interesting placement lol.
I’d put the R-77-1s in 2nd tbh. In perfect conditions it has the longest range and fastest ttk but in real matches where most kill engagements happen closer than 20km, its still one of the fastest ttk with one of the best maneuverability.
it seems gaijin just has made a small change at r77-1 (on fov or whatever), but sth goes wrong with this msl, because sometimes r77-1 will go towards a random direction (or maybe its still radar issue
