I noticed that the Leopard 2 raises its barrel after firing a shot, presumably to make reloading easier for the loader. Why aren’t details like this included in the game? I’ve also seen pictures of the Leopard where it has additional smoke grenade launchers to the right of the cannon on the turret. Unfortunately, these aren’t in the game. Can someone explain this to me?
Training pyrotechnics, not smoke launchers
its detail that, if modeled, cant be disabled between arcade/realistic/sim, and since first two modes have gunner camera placed at the end of the gun barrel, it would put tanks that do this at disadvantage.
This applied for most modern mbt actually, even one with autoloader. It would be a nice attention to detail and a great way to know if your enemy or teammate is reloading but it’s mostly cosmetic.
It’d be annoying to most players, as certain ranks have poor vertical traverse and would also cause a lot of deaths, would also give quite a few people who use the default sight motion sickness.
Not really, even on default the barrel and sight can move independently, when ranging for example
No reason the sight would have to follow the reload animation as well
Nah, it would be straight torture, especially for RU tanks and their 3 deg/s vertical drives.
Its already accounted for in the reload rates
shouldnt be modelled without a reload buff
besides, its an optional movement. not a mandatory one
Thank you all for your answers. It’s much clearer now. But there’s one more thing I’d like to know. Why can’t a loaded cartridge be unloaded? Why do you have to fire them first in order to load a different type of ammunition?
