Does WarThunder is an HOSTILE game?
wdym
Do you mean hostile to consumers?
So hostile.
Chinese?
they can speak in other topics just fine they made one today about some type 10 with APS but i honestly have no idea what this is
thats what i mean!
They’re a business, who is primarily focused on making money. Gaijjin can be a hostile company to players, but has also done some wholesome things, like when they gave that guy with a sick wife the IS-7 for free
no switch that to are players hostile to devs and everyone then yes gajin has never NEVER insulted a players for doing something they dont like but who has? the player base and it is a free game so we must expect marketing I wouldn’t say gajins marketing is aggressive too much its just in the middle but needed for a free game to keep running
sometimes people confuse Gajin with war thunder dev team totally different idk even know what else gajin does I went to the other simulator military game store … I regret it 80usd for a F18 I have to also buy a 300 dollar stick to fly it and a 1 thousand dollar computer to make sure it runs fine 80USD for a c130 BROOOOOO this greed needs to be studied 80usd for a cargo plane that I cant dogfight in
it is Anton Yudintsev who makes the packs 80 USD because idk why not other games do it for much worse learning curves like you must learn the jet after you by it how to turn it on and crazy things like that war thunder isn’t that game consumers have an option to buy these they choose to because its helpful most packs or not P2W or non are because a toddler can be in a rafale and get blown up by a p51 that knows how to play if we pay attention to the forums you see a rule breaking hostile chud who cant handle get blow up by a simple aim7M and start whining about aim7 nerfs because they had a skill issue I would rate war thunder dev team 1/10 hostility , I would rate gajin marketing team 4/10, and the war thunder fourms and reddit some of the users 10/10 , and I would rate the normal player off the fourms 1/10
Wherever “hostile” refers to monetization or accessibility for new players, imo the answer is yes. Don’t even start with “Gaijin is a buissness they need to make money” the multi-million dollar company does not need your defense. War Thunder isn’t the only free to play game in the market and yet Gaijin’s greed and ego either matches or possibly even surpasses EA’s. Gaijin explicitly chooses to make monetization this way, they could’ve added many more forms of monetization to help spread out options, but they specifically want people to not have any other choice than to buy a 60$+ premium vehicle to have a decent grinding pace.
“Oh, what’s that, you don’t like that premium vehicle? Well sucks to be you either buy the more expensive one or grind another tree”
Why until now have we never seen a parallel to premium vehicle’s SL bonus multiplier, like what the Talisman is for non-premiums? Why haven’t we seen a buyable optipn to expand the research rank range of non-premium vehicles? Perhaps a special premium booster that gives one specific vehicle infinite backups? There are so many ideas for new monetization methods but for over 6 years we got nothing but premium time and premium vehicles as options for an easier grind. GE-ing research directly is something nearly no one does due to how ineffective it is, which is yet another proof the “convertible RP” mechanic is a relic of time passed and needs to be removed.
As for hostility towards new players, jesus christ where do I even begin with this??? War Thunder has so many mechanics and rules and it tells you nearly nothing about them. Players are expected to either know everything already or watch Youtuber tutorials. There’s no explanation of differences between fighters, no explanation of jets and how to fly them, lots of aircraft munitions have either lackluster or nonexistant tutorials, and that’s just aircraft stuff.
So, yes. War Thunder is a hostile game imo. We are all stuck in a toxic relationship with it, because it’s the only game where you can play a whole bunch of obscure vehicles in semi-realistic detail. Any other game is either too arcady and unrealistic or too hardcore simulator (and these often only include to largely known stuff).
rage bait I hope
“epic games didn’t teach me how to play Fortnite now I’m bad I’m going to reddit to whine like a chud now” “gajin didn’t teach me how to simply fly a prop now I’m going to reddit” sounds like a great idea for gajin to give strict tutoials about how to lock and fire a ARH missile it takes 2 clicks bro and that would ruin creativity if gajin told players the exact cheat code to doge missiles “Forza didn’t teach me how to drive a car” ???!??!!? if you are capable of downloading a game you should be able to play it if not then idk what to say
