NO ONE, and i Repeat NO ONE asked for these, Its just more junk to clog up our tree so you can justify not giving the British actual AA that existed and isn’t either some one off test bed, or Janky Russian crap used by a country that cut its self off from the British LONG ago.
I can’t even buy my ADATS now without wasting nearly a Million credits on a SPAA in don’t want, NOR DO I WANT TO USE.
It already was annoying when you added the Stormer AD when i just barely 30k away from my ADATS meaning i had to stop researching it, THEN you added this to compound the issue when i wasn’t even done with the Stormer, So i had NO Chance of being able to buy the ADATS before now.
Multiple people did, hence Gaijin pushed forwards the OSA addition earlier than originally planned. Before you hate on it give it a try, it’s extremely good at bullying CAS and attack drones drones that think they’re out of SAM range. It out ranges all domestic British SAMs (which in turn out manuvere the OSA, swings and roundabouts and all that).
There’s not even that many British SAMs left, there’s only really blowpipe (which uh, won’t be good. Malcos manpad lmao), the proxy “Starstreaks” (Javelin, Starburst, LMM/Marlet), and Raiper. All of which are sub-8km missiles (Blowpipe is only 3.5km, Javelin can make 5 if you’re lucky).
There is still PLENTY Of other SPAA’s they could have added before they shot gunned copy and paste junk at the Techtree.
The British tree was like the ONE tree that hadn’t been invaded by Non Domestic crap clogging up the tree’s.
The only Non domestic tanks they had were the South African stuff, which was Unique and quite good. And a Copy and paste T-90 Squadron vehicle. and a Couple lower Tier vehicles the British had a Direct hand in helping to develop.
They didn’t NEED or WANT Russian Junk that will be outclassed the moment something more advanced than a Prototype Missile system from the 70s is added.
The Rapier alone will make both of these dead on Arival, Because despite its only 8km range, the missiles are AGILE AF, and are able to do MACH 3. AND have a Dual fuse enabling them to act like the ADATS missiles, with both a Proxy mode, and a Shaped Charge Anti Tank mode.
There’s also the fact that using resources on foreign additions takes away from resources that could be used for unique ones, so even disregarding the argument in your comment, it’s still a lie.
Yeah it sucks. Im just glad i’ve already gotten the ADATS unlocked so I can just ignore them.
But it does unfortunately mean that fixes and buffs for the Stormer HVM are pretty unlikely because the response will just be “just use the Strela/Osa”
Primarily British tree players. Osa was added in response to the feedback at the time as it had a skin ready, and with the addition of the Strella to other nations, it was possible to include this also inside of a tab with the Osa.
In fact, we have said the opposite. Further domestic British SPAAs are coming and the addition of either of these hasn’t impacted that at all.
This is not the case. Neither the Osa or Strella took any resources away from any unique British platforms. We had the Stormer AD arrive just the update before Osa and further unique platforms are on the way.
