Question about modification tier bonuses

Something that I was unsure about and I realized it’s better to ask about it here.

When you’re researching helicopters by playing ground vehicles, do tier bonuses that you get from tank modifications count towards the helicopter reserach? I’m not noticing any RP going towards my helis.

I recently finished unlocking all German tanks and at that time, I had a few low tier tanks that I hadn’t unlocked yet, and when I was spading a few of my favorite tanks, I noticed that the RPs that I got were going towards the low tier tanks, instead of the helicopter research (Coincidentally I managed to unlock all of the low tier tanks that way). Am I missing something or is it intended to be that way?

For clarification, I do have the “Research of Helicopters by playing ground vehicles” option checked, and I’ve got only the Tiger and Mi-24 left to unlock; I got the rest by playing ground vehicles.

I think you have to use helicopter to receive these bonuses. Because otherwise you get 10 bonuses, instead of 5, which Gaijin probably don’t want to give.

You misunderstood what I’m saying. I’m not talking about the research bonuses that was recently implemented. I’m talking about the “modification tier bonus”. the one that you get after you acquire all the modifications of a certain tier (for example, after unlocking tracks, parts, horitontal turret rotation and say anything else that’s at tier 1 for a tank).

No, they don’t. They apply only for ground units
