QoL improvements that take too long to come to the game

It’s strange that updates like “severe damage” take so long to come to the game. WT is still far from great despite being on the market for over a decade and having this many different vehicles and active players and it’s weird how slow they are with qol improvements.

I wish devs focused more on improvements than on new season passes or premium vehicles. The game really needs to improve in all directions, like team play and player interaction. Currently the game does too little to incentivize random players to play in team. Gameplay feels very selfish and solo-oriented where everybody are just trying to get a better score which leads to ignoring teammates who need help or stealing kills or capture points.

One of such improvements could be an interactive map which players can zoom and pan, using tactical drawings like directional arrows, lines, markers, or just a pen to draw on the map for easier communication in terms of tactics.
I think it would be much more efficient and easier for random players to communicate and understand each other’s intentions instead of expecting them to discuss it in chat, which also has its limits, or just 1 type of ping that we currently have.

Changing default squad size to fit up to 4 players instead of only 2 and making squad play more rewarding. This also would improve the overall experience of players.
Currently, there is only one thing that comes to mind that makes playing in a squad rewarding, which is when you and your mate are nearby and one of you makes a kill, so the other receives a little bonus for team play, and that’s it.
Why not make helping with repair faster if it’s your squadmate, or if you capture a point and your mate comes to it later, he receives the same full reward as you? Or, the more players that capture the point, the greater the reward for all, which can incentivize players to wait for others before capturing a point alone.

These are just ideas from the top shelf for ground battles, and these have probably already been discussed and proposed previously. I’m sure there are a lot more good qol improvements that can be applied to other modes too, like air, naval, and even PVE.

I know I’m whining but it’s just really frustrating how long it takes to make a single qol change that actually improves the overall experience.

We don’t need people drawing dicks and swastikas all over the map… most people probably don’t even know they can mark on the map in the first place, and when they do they might not get the right location and if it only lasts a very short while before it being impossible to know where the marker was.

Improving the mini map by informing people how to mark things and allowing a few different types of markers that last a bit longer would help.

Also would help if enemies that are dead, actually get marked as dead and not flash on the mini-map for seconds before turning into a skull.

Why not make helping with repair faster if it’s your squadmate

Helping with repair needs to be faster, period.
Expecting players to sit there for 40 seconds for 150 SL or whatever is a waste of time.

Used to be able to get a reward for everyone, now they’ve reduced those rewards the more people are on it, nothing like encouraging anti teamplay behaviour, who else but Gaijin.
