Well that will also Give me away if I just start blasting my MG imagine if it was an enemy they now know where I am. So I just wait and see if they attack a tank I know is friendly then I will blast them.
I can’t speak about air SIM but for ground SIM it feels like some actual tools to cummunicate your location to teammates and request your teams postion (that would actually be more realistic) would be helpful.
I mean beside the t-4-1 that is barely useful because only 20% of people are actually using it, even when i request it in chat or tell people at the beginning of the match to do so. And if people are using it a lot it all gets mixed up on the minimap because it’s the same symbol with “attention to the map” and the callouts will come simultaneuosly so it’s impossible to tell which is which. Adding to that i had allies which simply refuse to use t-4-1 but ping their own position on the map with “attention to the designated grid square”. Even after telling them in chat to stop doing so.
Adding to that the identification tool through rangefinder is in no way reliable, is not usable in cqc, theres tons of copy paste captured vehicles with slightly different toned camo (Fk yeah to m18 bracket with italian m18s running rampant with tiny italian flags on the side that can easily be covered) makes for the perfect chaos.
One of the best gamemodes turns to shit that way because how chaotic it is, half the team refuses to communicate and you’re forced to basically play Free for all but avoid shooting at tanks that have any of the colours that any of your allied nation’s camos have. Impossible to ID at medium to long ranges or bad visibility.
Ofc with ID impossible it’s better in a lot of cases to not shoot when in doubt but I’d love some better tools to keep track of where allies are on the map even if you can’t stare at it for 50% of the time, like a request team position tool that then marks allied positions on the map for let’s say one minute if they press a simple button. Maybe theres better ways of achieving this?
They could also identify if the plane is enemy with the air alert if it doesnt says anything then its a friendly like there are so many mechanics which u can use to help u out in sim but thats the issue noone is bothering because they can just move on and go next game without them forcing them to actually learn
Yea i agree with your statement gaijin should give us more simple tools to work so we can identify our team mates better but also i am mentioning about the other part of the players where they are lvl 40 and allowed to play in sim where teamkilling exist without them knowing any mechanics on that mode and not getting punished for that
