PUMA, overall has better survivability than 2S38, I don’t understand of people comparing any IFV in-game to a SPAA. I wouldn’t mind leaving VJTF same BR to the regular PUMA,
But if we actually compare a IFV with another IFV, PUMA is the best one in all terms of firepower, protection and mobility. Maybe except by few exceptions like Type 89 IFV with better cannon fire rate and ammunition.
As any other 30 mm autocannon. It’s not a exclusive issue, but a generalized, 30 mm APFSDS rounds barely has any post-pen damage for no need to waste more than 10 in a vehicle.
i mean, they are much better than just spamming 30mm 1 km away, specially with the dispersion of the 30mm, while unreliable they are pretty good at killing helis and light tanks
Exactly while they suck at killing tanks agaisnt IFVs and Helicopters they are decent. 30mm and 25mm autocannons are in a really bad spot when it comes to killing tanks.
the br of 2s38 should not be the same as PUMA cuz as I know the “superior protection” of PUMA you mentioned would not stop an APFSDS and only effective for chemical rounds. If this two IFV had an encounter, the 2s38 would 100% win the first engagement. Thanks too for the nerfed spalling of PUMA 30mm autocannon, 2s38 would be harder to kill unless you remember where to shoot the exact location for the gunner and commander with time span of 0.1 second reaction time which I deemed inhumane
Yes they not should be the same BR because both have to be operated in different ways in most or all environments.
With the protection, PUMA still have better overall, and obviously it will not stop a high caliber cannons for obvious reasons, with 2S38 even less because it doesn’t have any Chemical protection.
gaijin could already add MELLS missile system ingame actually as the mechanics is the same from the missile from Warfare 2077 event which has LOAL (lock-on-after-launch) capabilities
while i do think that the 2s38 should go up in br, youre overeacting, in an ifv encounter the that shoots first will most likely win, it isnt like the 2s38 have any protection to begin with, unless it has the hull down,
